To start off the year losing both a mare and foal(even an unborn one) really sucks..RIP Sanson peak

12yo g Electric Alphabet (Alphabet Soup) was euthanized at Mahoning Valley this afternoon after falling at the top of the stretch in Race 6. See War Horse Chronicles.

I know he isn't a Thoroughbred, but the great Standardbred Somebeachsomewhere has been euthanized after undergoing treatment for cancer.
