You can only have a nemesis who is a credible threat. :D
I ran marathons. I saw the Taj Mahal by Moonlight. I drove Highway 1 in a convertible. I petted Zenyatta.

Interesting ... Aidan never avoids a challenge - Cliffs of Moher could be interesting....

Ask me any questions you have about New Zealand and Australia racing,.....okay RugbyGirl, here goes......

at the local level is there ever any discussion about heading over to the USA for a race?
I've found it easier to tear up tickets at 8/1 instead of 8/5.

Not a single whisper. No offense but most Australians look down on US dirt racing and the few turf tracks are too small and tight.

If Winx goes anywhere it will be HK (unlikely due to current ridiculous quanrantine restrictions imposed by Australian authorities) or Ascot in June (swansong maybe?) Dubai would be worth thinking about but that has never been whispered either.

The main problem is that Australia is so far from everything! it is a good day and a half on a plane plus climate and seasonal changes and that is if everthing goes as planned those horses spent 18 hours in a plane in Dubai the other day! Even more difficult for a mare to adjust to everything, think of how jetlagged you would be after so long on a plane!

It has never been spoken out loud but most people believe she would immediately retire after a 4th Cox Plate a la Makybe Diva. It would be a big shock if she races next year.

I think I saw Grunt race...and win very well...quite recently. Like maybe last weekend? It's Aussie racing, so I know that's entirely possible at this time of year.
Grunt looked strong.

Yes Grunt raced last weekend but didn't win as he apparently doesn't like racing at Caulfield! He did win the G1 Makybe Diva Stakes 2 weeks earlier and he does love Flemington

Here is Grunt (bay) & Mighty Boss (chestnut) having a training gallop between races about a month ago, as you can imagine with looks like that Mighty Boss has quite a following!
