I'm guessing she also has an inside stall and this is while she's turned out. Man, I can't believe she's 21.BaroqueAgain1 wrote: ↑Tue Jun 04, 2019 3:41 pmI know horses generally do OK in cold weather, but doesn't a 21-year-old champion deserve a bit more shelter than an open shed?![]()
What's her age and record got to do with it?BaroqueAgain1 wrote: ↑Tue Jun 04, 2019 3:41 pmI know horses generally do OK in cold weather, but doesn't a 21-year-old champion deserve a bit more shelter than an open shed?![]()
I can assure you that Sam-Son has a very nice facility in Milton and their retirees (both racehorses and jumpers) are well taken care of.BaroqueAgain1 wrote: ↑Tue Jun 04, 2019 3:41 pmI know horses generally do OK in cold weather, but doesn't a 21-year-old champion deserve a bit more shelter than an open shed?![]()
I knew they were in Ontario, but had no idea they were in Milton.Northport wrote: ↑Wed Jun 05, 2019 10:18 pmI can assure you that Sam-Son has a very nice facility in Milton and their retirees (both racehorses and jumpers) are well taken care of.BaroqueAgain1 wrote: ↑Tue Jun 04, 2019 3:41 pmI know horses generally do OK in cold weather, but doesn't a 21-year-old champion deserve a bit more shelter than an open shed?![]()
I thought when you said "low end auction" you meant like New Holland or something but that just looks like a normal Thoroughbred sale? It's a step below Keeneland, sure, but there are a lot of decent state-bred horses in there that would get 5 figures and I doubt it's worth it for "kill buyers" to show up.sweettalk wrote: ↑Wed Jun 26, 2019 10:58 pmhaven't done well trying to get more info re: Take Charge Lady, but can anyone help?
WEND seems to have appeared at a low end auction, known for THOSE kinds of buyers... hip no 96
