Haven't seen her height mentioned anywhere yet, but for those of us who don't metric system  340kg is barely 750lbs. So yep, she's a race pony! Soooo adorbs, I would love her for my pocket pony.

Not sure where else to post this but...

Threat was a close second, beaten just half a length, to Arizona in today's Coventry (GB-G2) at Royal Ascot. He's by Footstepsinthesand, but his second dam is the good Japanese-bred mare Shiva, who stunned males in the Tattersalls Gold Cup (IRE-GI) years ago.

Shiva has been a disappointment as a broodmare, but it looks like her grandson may make his mark yet. Here's the replay of Shiva's big win back in 1999 over Daylami and others: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=niRzaFU-jf0

Thanks for the heads-up.
Shiva(JPN) made her name by defeating a real international-superstar Daylami(IRE).
Her sire Hector Protector(USA) passed away in Japan, 2010.

The Takarazuka Kinen(G1) will be run tomorrow.
This is an exciting grand-prix field even if Almond Eye is absent.

A week ago, he had a inflamed fetlock in his left front leg while on the worktab before the Teio Sho.
He will be sent back to the farm again. :(

Thanks for the update. Sounds like he may be heading towards retirement, which is a shame. He was an exciting horse with lot of talent. Is this a flare up of the original injury or a new one?

I'm not sure.
But he has had issues in his left front leg.
And the timeline for his return to the track is up in the air.

So upsetting. This is my all time favorite horse for last 2 years. I was hoping he'd eventually come over and run in the BCC.

I know that w/in this topic, this is probably already here, but if you haven't seen it, this documentary is outstanding.

We ALL love Sunday Silence! :D
And it looks like he has produced a new star on the dirt yesterday through his son Gold Allure(JPN).

Chrysoberyl(JPN), 2016C. Gold Allure(JPN) x Chrysoprase(JPN) by El Condor Pasa(USA), won the Jpn1 Japan Dirt Derby 2000m dirt at Oi on July 10th 2019, remaining unbeaten 4 for 4.
He is a full brother to Jpn1 winner Chrysolite(JPN) as well as a 1/2 brother to G1 winner Marialite(JPN).

Does anyone know what happened to @LongBallToNoOne twitter account? :?

He was my #1 source for horse racing in Japan and I miss reading his posts. :(

If anyone can recommend another good twitter source about horse racing in Japan, I'm taking!

There wasn't a lot of info, but there might have been some tweet kerfuffle that ended up with accounts being reported for vid clips? possibly? and then his account was suspended. Perhaps.

After about a week he came back locked, I asked to follow and he added me but there's been no new content. I want to DM to ask if he'll be back at all but basically I'm an internet stranger so I don't know how well that would go over. :?

Kate Hunter (@keibakate) and nabecci (@nabecci) and Kaz Ishida (@HimawariKaz) and @buena_vista23 sometimes have good photos/news, and Jess Samy (@frankel1313) keeps an eye on Frankel's Japanese offspring, but. Graham was the best source by far. :( :( :(

ETA: there's also HorseRacingInJapan (@HorseRacing_JPN ‏) for results but only the major ones.
