On Maximum Security running in the Pegasus, one Paulick Report commenter had this to say:
And that's kind of how I feel. Granted, the horse still appears to have the field over a barrel but...I have no idea what to think about this. On May 19th we heard: “We are not looking at the Belmont because (trainer Jason Servis) says Maximum Security needs more time to fully recover,” said West. Usually a statement like that doesn't infer just 8 days more rest. But I realize things change, but just four days ago we hear: "I'm not happy with the horse. I want to have some blood drawn,'' and the trainer was not “entirely pleased” with the 3-year-old son of New Year's Day. and "The blood work was OK. I think he's still a little light"
I know he mentioned he may have overreacted, but all of this seems a little off to me.
I like Mr. Money! He’s cute, and runs fast, katmandu wrote: ↑Thu Jun 13, 2019 5:09 pmWhen Gabriel talks, Mr. Money listens. What a wonderful picture!Mylute wrote: ↑Thu Jun 13, 2019 2:39 pmMr. Money Looks to Cash in Matt Winn Stakes

Maximum Security just lost the Pegasus to King For A Day.
Maximum Security finished second by about a length to King for a Day.
Max stumbled briefly at the start, raced on his wrong long for at least the opening furlong, and didn't have much left late. I wonder if West rescinds his $5 million challenge now... more likely he's retired, though.
