Fun facts about Mr. Money: same connections as By My Standards, was more precocious but they always thought By My Standards was better, fifth in the Louisiana Derby.

Instagrand, yikes.

Another poor showing by Instagrand.

Makes you wonder if they should have kept him in training last year when he was hot, and aimed for the 2 yr old championship. At least he'd have a stud deal by now if they had...

Instagrad looked uninspiring. Just didn’t even try and then got swallowed up?

Mr. Money looked nice.

I wonder how badly Instagrand’s owner regrets not listening to his trainer. Looks like Instagrand was a precocious 2yo who was bound to fizzle out at 3.

The winner looked very impressive though!

Hog Creek Hustle was far back in second, but for reference he comes out of a bad loss in the Louisiana Derby and prior to that was defeated twice by War of Will. Mr Money was fourth in the Juvenile and also lost to War of Will.

Instagrand was so bad it might not be worth bringing up his last race, but as someone who was personally sceptical of the race because of how closely he finished...

I love this segment.

That's at least two nice horses from Goldencents' first crop. They've got to be happy at Spendthrift.

It's incredible how much the two of them resemble their sire, as well. Love to see this early success from him, he was such a cool horse.

They didn't want to push him because Magnum Moon, and Audible, and Quip, or something.

As much as I like the HD pictures and all the behind the scenes, I must say NBC coverage can be super infuriating sometimes.

1. Too many advert breaks and WAY too frequently!
2. I get that the Derby is the big race and the general public don’t care about the undercard but there is absolutely no coverage of the races preceding the Derby. It’s so boring when they talk about one frickin race for 5 hours

No pace to run into and he still gets there... Bricks and Mortar is good.

He really is the real deal! His Pegasus win was no fluke!

Tom Brady picks Code of Honor. He is a cool dude. I do miss Carson Kressley’s fashion commentary.

Yeah Carsson seemed alright.

You know who I don't miss?

Kenny Rice seems like a really hard working nice guy. Brittany sure looks lovely even in the rain.

If it's Tara and Jonhny I do miss them.

I wish GOT was still just a nerd thing. Maybe the writing would still be good.

Turth. To think people used to make fun of me back when I had viewing parties in Season 2, i.e. when it was actually good....

Anyways, I'm surprised by how much I'm ejoying Von Miller (though he still isn't forgiven for hitting Brady so many times). I miss Carson, Tara and Johnny although I think Carson has his own show now or something (he also hasn't been on Drag Race this season).

So glad we're spending all this time on Baffert, it's been almost a year since we all last watched a video segment on his life.

How is Bode 13 already? That piece on him and his dad was adorable.

Heard Bode wants to be a meteorologist not a horse trainer. He and Bob seem very close.

Is it bad I don’t want Baffert to win just bc I’m tired of hearing about him?
