Well-beaten fourth. Maybe he needed the race? Mihos won.

Code of Honor looked like a boy a,ongst men. Very narrow and immature build comparatively

My disappointment in Code of Honor is tempered by my excitement that Mihos won. Been looking forward to this race all week. Hopefully, Code of Honor will continue to grow and improve. It was a strangely run race for him.

Coliseum misses the break in the Sham and finishes last. Gunmetal Gray is the winner for Hollendorfer and Mike Smith. Not a good day for odds-on favorites in 3yo stakes races.

Bad break or no, that was a really ugly race by Coliseum. A horse did seem to come across him at the top of the stretch but I'm not sure he was showing any finish anyway. Yuck.

They said he was fighting Talamo early after the bad start and it might have been better just to let him go and see what happened.
I ran marathons. I saw the Taj Mahal by Moonlight. I drove Highway 1 in a convertible. I petted Zenyatta.

In an interview earlier, Talamo said something less that complimentary saying he was a "work in progress who prefers to run off" err something like that.

I've found it easier to tear up tickets at 8/1 instead of 8/5.

Does anyone else foresee a rider switch on Coliseum? :P

Gunmetal Gray is a nice-looking horse. Still wasn't impressed by the Sham. Coliseum just didn't fire.

Big, rough moving horse trained by some Derby neophyte. Won a race late in the summer and a couple more in the fall. ;)

He did seem like he had more growth than his adversaries; I just wonder if he didn't mature too soon and will be passed up. Tempus tellus.

I’d also be worried about those omelettes he makes when he runs. Talented colt, though, and it’s not a horse show. All he’s got to do is get there first.

War of Will pulled away impressively to take the LeComte.
