Retired today after fracturing a sesamoid during her morning workout.

Aaaaaaah.... crap. The only good thing is that she will be okay, could have been way worse.

I'm glad she didn't run in today's PC- not that they were ever seriously considering it.

But it could have been way worse.

Aw frack. :(
She is one of the few horses I've been eager to watch. Always exciting to see her run.
I hope she becomes a great broodmare, but this is a loss to racing.
Phooey.

I've found it easier to tear up tickets at 8/1 instead of 8/5.

If I wanted to produce a commercially attractive foal with a viable chance at being a classic runner I'd send her to Medaglia d'Oro or Curlin. If I wanted a sprinter I'd send her to Runhappy.
If I was breeding to race rather than sell, I'd consider any durable classic distance runner or sire. I'd love to see them think outside the box a little, I don't think they need to worry about speed considering she has plenty of it... if the goal is classic runners, I'd prioritize durability, soundness and stamina.

I'd say 100% chance it's either War Front, MdO, or Curlin. Cannot see her going to anyone else.

She's a BIG gal, so I'd favor sending her to a middle-sized stallion. War Front would work, but Curlin is a hefty boy. MdO also tends to sire tall horses. IMHO, Pioneerof the Nile and American Pharoah would match physically, but is that too much Unbridled?
I would NOT send her to Justify but, if we're thinking Scat Daddy, how about Mendelssohn, since I doubt that he's still going to be racing next year?

I'm gonna guess Into Mischief, because commercial stallion. Maybe Medaglia d'Oro.

Out of curiosity I nicked her with Malibu Moon, a favorite of mine. It's a B and there's inbreeding to A.P. Indy of course.

While Don Alberto may not be a household name in America–yet–the group operates a large farm in Chile with some 300 mares, and have leased a number of stallions, including Stormin Fever, Proud Citizen, Fusaichi Pegasus, Dylan Thomas (Ire), Rock of Gibraltar (Ire), Bluegrass Cat, Henrythenavigator, Mastercraftsman (Ire), Holy Roman Emperor (Ire) and Stevie Wonderboy, during Southern Hemisphere breeding seasons. Bethia Holdings also owns and operates the local racetrack, Club Hipico de Santiago.
This is from an article on America's Best Racing, a couple years back. Recently Cunco (who was mentioned in the article as the "in utero" Frankel) retired to Chile. He has a nice pedigree but I doubt it.

Curlin is chunky but I don't think he's that tall is he? And his babies aren't known to be tall or thick, at least not consistently. MDOs can seem tall (and actually be tall but I often find people overestimate their size because they're so racy).
I also agree no to Justify for many reason - size, soundness and durability would be abysmal with this cross... Also inbreeding 6 times to Mr. Prospector. For this reason I'm not sure I'd go with a Scat Daddy son all of them are automatically inbred to Mr.P twice on the top, it's hard to get away from and since she's already inbred 3 times... it's a lot. Justify I think is also 3 times, although Mendelssohn is only twice. I'm not sure he'll retire by the way unless he wins everything on his way to the PWC.
Pharoah would be 4x4x4 Unbridled which is... not the worst thing but I'm not sure I'd want more inbreeding with a mare who had a few soundness issues.

Not the hottest commercial sire right now but how about Ghostzapper?

I've got at least one stud idea that'd make me sound like a lunatic  Although if they wanted to be daring maybe they could consider her going overseas to visit a turf sire with staying power.

I know he is probably not gonna retire soon but he can't run forever and a sound, hard-knocking multiple G1 and GSW grinder like Hoppertunity who is to boot a medium sized horse, rather handsome, and very sweet-tempered and calm could make for a pretty interesting cross to her.

If one wanted to take a risk with a Turf sire, it's too bad Hat Trick is now in Brazil. While his career was as a Miler (and this falls in line with Unique Bella's winning at Sprinting, Mile and 1 mile 1/16th so in this regard they match well) his pedigree is loaded with talent and stamina he has sired graded stakes winners in multiple countries on several continents, and I believe his sons are off to a good start in spite of modest support and limited opportunity.
While he has Mr. P in his pedigree so that'd create a bit more inbreeding I really wouldn't mind seeing her attempt a stud like Camelot.
Or you can go to the King, Deep Impact. I've seen some people suggest Dubawi but I'm not really sure about that.
