Really sounds like a world a part! It's lovely to know the horses get treated like the elite athletes they are.

Forever Unbridled Set for Toughest Test in World Cup
Chuck Fipke was so eager to see his beloved homebred mare he could hardly contain himself.

With a plastic grocery bag full of treats, he was itching to get to his champion, Forever Unbridled, as she made her way to the Meydan dirt track March 29—but trainer Dallas Stewart intervened.

"Hold on now. Just wait 'til she gets back to the barn," Stewart said with a wink.

But there was no stopping the septuagenarian owner. With the widest smile plastered on his face, Fipke strolled up to the bay mare as she moved up the chute to the dirt oval at Meydan, gave her a few affectionate pets on the head, and sent her off for her morning exercise.

As Forever Unbridled finished up her gallop, Fipke reached into his bag, and took off after the mare with a handful of carrots. Struggling to keep up and present the carrots at the same time, the determined owner tried to beat Forever Unbridled to the spot by running ahead, just to offer up his appreciation.

The daughter of Unbridled's Song didn't accept his offering, but Fipke's tenderness was unabated and out in the open for all to see, two days before the toughest challenge of her racing career in the $10 million Dubai World Cup Sponsored By Emirates Airline (G1) March 31.

"She's pretty nice. I mean, what can I say? I'm just lucky to have a horse like that," Fipke said. "I just love her."

As emotional as his response is when he sees Forever Unbridled, Fipke's decision to run the champion mare and four-time grade 1 winner against males for the first time was calculated—a matter of value and risk.

I was rooting for Big Orange- love this 7 year old gelding, but he tied up this week and they should have left him in the barn. he did not run well.

Track record time, official margin is 18 1/2 lengths. He was an impressive, talented colt on grass. He is an entirely different beast on dirt.
Coolmore must be thrilled.

That $3M may have been a bargain.

Nearly brought tears to my eyes, I had chills as soon as he hit the top of the stretch... To work for the lead, set a robust pace and then to just pull away at the end like that and keep pulling away... it's like he found another entirely new gear.
If he goes to Kentucky, it will be worth mentioning that he will have run the distance closest to 10f out of any other horse, and to run it like that.
The loss of Scat Daddy looms larger than ever.
