12yo g Electric Alphabet (Alphabet Soup) was euthanized at Mahoning Valley this afternoon after falling at the top of the stretch in Race 6. See War Horse Chronicles.

I know he isn't a Thoroughbred, but the great Standardbred Somebeachsomewhere has been euthanized after undergoing treatment for cancer.

That's very sad. I remember seeing his race s on TVG's evening programs, and being very impressed. Terrible that a grape sized tumor was so virulent and brought him down so fast. :-(
I ran marathons. I saw the Taj Mahal by Moonlight. I drove Highway 1 in a convertible. I petted Zenyatta.

I have a photo of him in 2015 when I visited the farm. It's kind of a roam as you please place so it was hard to identify some of them. Once I have a chance I'll post one. He was spectacular and the owners are devastated. He may have been riddled with tumors they won't know until the necropsy comes back.
