Happy Retirement, Arthur. Glad they caught it in time by doing an exercising electrocardiogram. This would be cool.TapitsGal wrote:Allison Springer retired her longtime faithful mount Arthur ahead of his start in next weeks rolex Kentucky due to a heart condition

Multiple Grade 1 Winner I'm a Chatterbox Retired
http://www.bloodhorse.com/horse-racing/ ... dium=emailShe's been a familiar sight these past few years, a fireball chestnut galloping fiercely in the morning around ovals across the country with trainer Larry Jones along for the ride.
Now Fletcher and Carolyn Gray's gritty homebred I'm a Chatterbox will transition into her second career, as a broodmare whose first visit will come this season to Darley stallion Medaglia d'Oro . The multiple grade 1 winner has been retired, Jones said April 25.
"She's got some bone bruising, nothing bad and nothing to keep her from racing. But it would take three months to deal with it, and three months to get her back ready to go, and at that point you're already looking at late October, and you've missed the Breeders' Cup," Jones explained. "She's already 5, and the plan wasn't going to be to race her at 6 anyway, we were just going to race her this year."

This 9 year old g. has been the concern of many on twitter. He's had 103 starts and earned $370,017 racing mostly on the New York circuit. Happy retirement, Metaurus.

Metaurus is being retired to ReRun.
S.O.S. @NotCloudyAllDay
Replying to @IDGARASFU and @NBaach
Metaurus is one of the horses who actually started THE WATCH several years ago. He so deserves this.

Multiple group 1 winner Solow has been retired. I hope the handsome grey gelding has a long and pampered retirement.

The great Hong Kong miler Able Friend has been retired.

I was lucky enough to see some of his impressive wins when TVG started showing racing from Hong Kong. For such a big horse, he had a fierce turn-of-foot.

Galileo Gold has been retired after suffering a soft tissue injury during the running of the Lockinge Stakes.
I watched that race, and the way GG faded seemed unusual for the brilliant colt. He didn't always win, but he always fought to the wire. An injury would explain his disappointing performance.

It makes sense, but where did you read that? Bloodhorse, DRF and Paulick are lagging behind your source.

Didn't even realize BH or DRF didn't have it. I guess you'd say she's all but retired. She's being shipped to the farm. Nothing officially announced but I was told highly unlikely she will run again. I guess I should've waited until it was announced... sorry guys!BaroqueAgain1 wrote:It makes sense, but where did you read that? Bloodhorse, DRF and Paulick are lagging behind your source.![]()

Twilight Eclipse has been retired.
Twilight Eclipse Retired, to Begin Training in Eventing
Owner West Point Thoroughbreds said Twilight Eclipse, who once sold at auction for $1,000 but reached racing's heights, has been retired from racing.
Grade 1-winning multi-millionaire Twilight Eclipse retires sound and will begin retraining for a second career in eventing. Since March he was conditioned by Graham Motion after being handled most of his career by trainer Tom Albertrani.

I wouldn't be surprised if he had some success in his new career. IMHO, his Dynaformer bloodline makes him well-suited for the challenges of eventing.
