Mianna was placed 1st in the 8th race at Northlands on May 6, after the horse who crossed the finish first was DQed for interference in deep stretch. The 3YO filly is now 4-3-0-0 lifetime.

I was a bit disappointed in that- Think his first year he was like 68, then like 35 or so last year.

I wouldn't read too much into it. There were only 269 mares bred in Alberta this year, with highest number going to a stallion being 41 (Exhi). The average book was 13 mares (median 8). So he's on the higher end.

Plus, he's at a fantastic place, being at Bar None. I've been in contact with them a bit and they described him as "definitely every bit as tough as Serena". They described his foals as having "the early speed and power with a bit easier temperament". They're very excited about Remarkable Vintage, particularly after his win in the Canadian Juvenile Stakes yesterday!

That was a nice article- I know very little about the CA tracks- with the exception of Woodbine.
