I loved to watch these two butt heads, twice Serena only won by a nose. Wonder if the races are still on Youtube- shame that some asshat had to complain and tons of really great races were deleted.

RIP Urbane- hoping you saved the best for last.

A group of 5 fillies worth an estimated €1m (£830,000) have died after being electrocuted during Storm Darwin (13 February) in Ireland.

The yearlings were in a paddock at Kilfrush Stud, Knocklong, Co Limerick, when an electricity cable snapped and the current travelled through the ground, killing the horses instantly.

hat would there have been to complain about as far as racing videos? That's too bad they are gone. Same happens with alot of figure skating videos. Many are pulled within minutes of being posted.

BTW, the commens section of Urbane's death on the BH are very nasty. So many armchair vets.

To be expected, and not wholly undeserved, IMO.

same aged serena's song is healthy and happy and still producing. much younger rachel alexandra has had a lot of complications. all horses are different, but let's not present them with logic, it might break their brain pans.

Finally, a story about The Usual Q T's illness and death. He was very ill, they tried very hard to save him.

Peritonitis...ugh. My mother went through a bout of peritonitis and it put her in the hospital. And a human is a whole lot easier to diagnose and treat for an ailment like that than a horse is.
Condolences to his connections...sounds like he was a barn favorite.

May they all RIP. I can't help but wonder, are we seeing more fatalities lately, or is it just my tolerance level decreasing?
