Glorious Alliance is gone. She was 27.

“Dearest Friends, yes, it is me tweeting, not K. There's no easy way to say this. I passed out of this life today. My heart and lungs catastrophically failed, and I told K to "do it." It was my terms. I physically left this world comfortably.”

TDN writer Ben Massam has passed away. Terriby sad—he was only 31.

That is so sad. They tried so hard, and she came through the surgery OK, but then developed acute laminitis on both rear legs early this morning...

RIP, Princess Dorian. We had so much hoped for a better outcome.

Zebedee, sire of Ivawood and Magical Memory, dies at stud in Australia
Former Tally-Ho Stud sire Zebedee, the source of high-class performers Ivawood and Magical Memory, died recently at Cornerstone Stud in South Australia. The son of Invincible Spirit, who was 11, sustained an injury in the breeding shed in September which led to a rapid decline in health.

A statement by Cornerstone Stud released to its website last month said: "Sam Hayes [managing director of the operation] made the decision to suspend Zebedee from stud duties following an awkward dismount from a mare in late September. Regrettably, that dismount appears to have aggravated a previously undiagnosed level of ataxia and Zebedee had regressed quite noticeably in the last two weeks, losing his full range of motion and some control in his hindquarter.”

Half Ton of Fun broke down and euthanized today at parx. So saddened by this one- I loved his name and used to see him race in Ohio.

That's probably not going to help Jerry's legal efforts to get back in to Santa Anita or other tracks that have banned him. :(
