Metaboss has been retired.

Jeremy Balan ‏@BH_JBalan 2h2 hours ago
Phil D'Amato says Metaboss took a bad step on turf course and exercise rider pulled him up. X-rays coming, but concern is condylar fracture.

Metaboss has been retired. Has a small fracture in sesamoid according to Phil D'Amato. It's not life-threatening, but is career-ending.

Not much of a surprise for Tamarkuz. He's six and he just capped off a decent career with a Breeders' Cup win. Seems like a good time to head for the shed.

Curalina
Naohiro Hosoda with Shadai said Curalina was definitely purchased as a broodmare prospect and that her racing career is over.

Darleys Facebook page has a video of Frosted arriving and bedding down in the quarantine barn next to Nyquist. Shows Frosted taking his first roll in the hay... He's gorgeous and all those dapples. They have Nyquist videos as well

Ironicus is joining the exodus to the breeding barns.

I feel like this is a horse who had tremendous talent, but who just never quite got it all together in many of his races. Besides the talent, IMHO his greatest pedigree asset may be his dam, the A.P. Indy mare Meghan's Joy, who has had an amazing produce record; Ironicus, Norumbega, On Leave, Hunting, Quiet Harbor, stakes winner Seal Cove, multiple graded stakes placed Minister's Joy, and Silviculture, the dam of graded stakes winner and 3-time course record setter Onus.

Glad to hear he's made it to this magic milestone. Now, let him be a horse, teach him some dressage, something that doesn't require jumping for a living.

Many chasers really seem to enjoy jumping and are retrained as foxhunters or eventers in their retirement.

Poorly phrased on my part. What I would dislike for Sprinte Sacre to do in retirement would be training steeplechase jockeys. Too easy for a beginner to to mess up what should have been a safe landing, IMO.
