Except for horses with elite pedigrees and/or racing or producing records, the prices were very low at Keeneland January this year.

I think William Nicks is the same guy who stands Monba at his IN farm.

The colt, bred by Colby Marks, is the first foal out of the Proud Citizen mare Citizen by Day, who is a full sister to the graded stakes winning 2012 Kentucky Derby fourth-place finisher Went the Day Well. Citizen by Day's second dam is grade 2 winner and Breeders' Cup Juvenile Fillies (G1) runner-up Sweet Roberta, who is also the second dam of multiple grade 1 winner and sire Brody's Cause.

So glad to see that he is still thriving and covering (small books) of mares at his age. I also had no idea that Distorted Humor was covering 125+ mares at his age  . Guess that's the difference between Adena and WinStar.

Also didn't know AA had two very serious bouts of colic, he really is a fighter. I hope him and Ghostzapper continue to have uneventful happy lives, they are two of my all time favourites.

MIKKI POSITION won Race 9 at Nakayama today and clocked up JRA win number 1800 for his sire DEEP IMPACT.

He becomes only the second horse to reach 1800, his sire SUNDAY SILENCE the other.

#DEEPIMPACT quickest in 8y 6m 24d
#SUNDAYSILENCE took 9y 8m 26d
I wonder how that compares to Europe & the US?

I enjoyed reading it but this part didn't make any sense to me, "There isn’t another stallion who has sired four Breeders’ Cup champions". Then later in the article they act like its some kind of record for a stallion.

He is a great stallion, don't understand the need to say he is the only one when he isn't.

MG3W American Lion (Tiznow), who started in 2010 #KyDerby, stood in Kentucky/Oklahoma, has been pensioned/gelded and is available for adoption via @NewVocations. Covered 15 mares in 2018; was an out from #KeeNov, as former connections secured retirement
