Of course it was cherry picked, I stated that; that's what I was giving examples of.
Right, making it pointless. You named a bunch of horses that have either no record at the Derby distance, or their only experience at 10f came in one race.

Stay classy, Matty.

I like the new Matt Converse. Make a comment that isn't rooted in anything factual. Get called on it. Deflect the fact that the comment was completely untrue. Repeat the next week.

I look forward to doing this again in a few days. Can only wonder what you'll be wrong about next :)

You're being stupid, and you know it. You know exactly what the comment was saying: winning at 9f does not prove you are a 10f horse at three, in fact, it is often not the case. 100% accurate.

The fact that that makes you smile says everything about who you are.

Reading the original post again, I have to admit you were just saying a 9f horse is not always a 10f horse. You are correct.

Thanks, that's all I was saying. I was responding to your comment about Cairo Prince doing well at 9f at two; it doesn't guarantee success going longer at three.

Interesting perspective coming from the guy who, within 10 minutes of that post, called me stupid and clueless.

You may have intended to say that not all 9f horses are 10f horses, which is a fine point. Using the Remsen as 'proof' of that...not so much. You simply named a bunch of Remsen winners that weren't very good, and most of whom never actually raced at 10f more than once. If nothing else, the inclusion of Rockport Harbor and Old Fashioned makes no sense, as they never even made the Derby.

There is no algorithm that guarantees success in this sport. Not every 9f horse is going to want 10f. That's not exactly breaking news.

Why? I never said I got any joy out of it, and I don't. You're the one you said you get joy out of it, that's what says everything about you are.

At least the formality is out of the way. We seem to think we know one another pretty well :). Oops, guess I shouldn't use a smiley face around you.

:| <- Poker face. Now you have no idea what I'm thinking.
