1. Candy Tycoon 15/1
2. Makabim 50/1
3. Masterday 30/1
4. The Falcon 50/1
5. Dennis' Moment 2/1
6. As Seen on Tv 9/2
7. Country Grammer 15/1
8. Gear Jockey 20/1
9. Liam's Lucky Charm 15/1
10. Shotski 10/1
11. Ete Indian 8/1
12. Chance It 7/2
I've found it easier to tear up tickets at 8/1 instead of 8/5.

Anyone who might consider Dennis' Moment as a single here needs to go back and watch that work in company 2 back. Not inspiring.

He was extremely helped by the draw, though, so maybe Dale gets his points and gets another one in the gate for the Derby.

I wonder if there's any chance Ete Indien actually goes off at 8-1. The draw is really tough and we need to see if he can rate off horses, but his last effort was quite strong and I'm eager to see how he performs here. No knock on Dennis and it would be great to see him come back strong, but the Iroquois has not held up and I wouldn't be surprised if he drops below that 2/1 ML.

Chance it may scratch due to outside draw , and wait for Tamp Bay Derby one week later. Still deciding.

I kinda like As Seen On TV here, although there's (once again) a lot of speed here. Based on pedigree I think he should be able to stretch out, and he has a very consistent record- 4:2-2-0, with three of those races being in stakes.

He also happens to be a half-bro to a horse I liked, Cage Fighter.

Took a look at the PPs and the most interesting horse from a value perspective is Country Grammer. Working pretty sharp, is actually cutting back here and the horse he beat in his maiden ran okay in the Withers. I don't think you're going to get 15-1 on a Brown at Gulfstream, but he strikes me as a live one in a field that is otherwise rather top-heavy despite its size.

Goodness what an effort by Ete Indien! Fantastic. Tiz the Law flattered even more.

Dennis was nowhere, unfortunately.

Ete Indien blew them back and it was like a blanket for second, although I know As Seen On TV was among them.

Dennis' Moment didn't pick up his feet.

Ete Indian wins by six.

Looks like Dennis' Moment was last--he was, I think, galloping out OK.

Dale Romans said he may have grabbed a quarter.

What I heard from Dale Romans was that the jockey told him the horse grabbed "something" but he was walking back okay.
BTW didn't Romans lose quite a bit of weight several years ago? It looks like he's given up the fight. :|

Always interesting to me what horses get hyped and for what reason.

Two horses will give very similar performances in similar races, with Horse A getting praised as the next great and Horse B getting called a pretender. Not really pointing out anyone in particular right now although I've never understood the hyping of Dennis' Moment. His Iroquois was nice but it wasn't that great.
