I kind of like Pat On the Back. He's on a roll.
He was third in his last start.
Guess I forgot. But he's been running well in general and if I was able to bet I would like the odds the 3rd offered me.
He does seem to alternate 3rds with 1sts lately. Based on that Saturday is “Go” Time. You’ll get some odds.

Cheap shot Thinair, factually correct but shortsighted in my opinion.
Poster was correct, PatOnTheBack has been "on a roll" if you look at the big picture and not just the last line in the PPs.

2019....5 starts with 3 victories, one of his wins was in the G2 Kelso, just two races back.

2018...7 starts with 2 victories, worth noting his effort in last year's Cigar Mile where he finished on near equal terms with the 7/5 favorite Mendelsohn and easily besting the 2/1 Copper Town. Pat was 15/1 that day, the same price he starts out at this coming Saturday.

2017.....9 starts, 1 victory

Just sayin' that when you're cheering for a 15/1 shot to hit the ticket, you know you're up against it but that's why you get rewarded at the windows. Pat has a chance, he certainly wouldn't be the first older horse, getting weight, to shock the favored 3YO's.
Good luck Mylute.
I've found it easier to tear up tickets at 8/1 instead of 8/5.

This guy makes perfect sense to me at 8-1, good luck all.

Jarrod Horak

Winner: #2 Bal Harbour

On the board: #6 Spun to Run, #5 Maximum Security

Longshot I like: #8 Network Effect

Analysis: Bal Harbour was best of the rest when third in Keeneland's Fayette (G2), and the top two in that race came back to win and hit the board in Churchill Downs' Clark (G1). The tactical type owns competitive numbers and likes this distance. Spun to Run shows the best recent figures and simply might be better than these. He hardly broke a sweat in his three victories at this distance, including that Breeders' Cup Dirt Mile. Maximum Security is 4-for-4 around one turn and should make his presence felt throughout. He just keeps running the same race and winning. Network Effect and Looking At Bikinis are a pair of lightly raced Chad Brown runners. Both step up in class after sharp allowance scores.

Spun To Run had 2 fast works (Trainer said he's getting more aggressive), so I hope that he gives Maximum Security a race early on (they also are starting right next to each other). Maybe Whitmore can pick up the pieces (if he gets the distance).

I'm not betting this race, cause too many ifs and buts for me and I'm not convinced about my theory that this is how it will play out.

I really could see a hot pace from the favored sophomores setting it up for a slight upset. I'm still wavering between Whitmore and Bal Harbour.

It ain't rainy, Bal Harbour has to be the right bet @ 8/1.

Pat on the Back is going backwards on the Sheets in his last three. While a turnback might help him get back to his better figs from Spring/early summer, that Kelso Beyer isn't validated by his Sheet #. Looking elsewhere and using Spun to Run (who looks a little explosive to me) to battle with Maximum Security then run away OR Lookin at Bikinis who's maybe sitting on a jump up new top as well to nail it late.

Whitmore for me. 3rd race off a layoff, he can get the distance. He sprints because he can, and they seem to think it’s not as hard on him.

Doesn't work in Canada unfortunately as my cable provider isn't US.

Spun to Run looks amazing. :D (ya I know, useless post, but he just looks like a million bucks) Other observation is that Max looks a tiiiny bit stiff in the hind.

Doubt he'll win but it would be pretty cool if Tale of Silence upset. He's a talented guy so it wouldn't be the wildest thing if he did win, though.

Was so great to see/hear the NYRA crowd rooting Max home. I was the loudest!
Sitting above the paddock I thought he looked a little short-strided in the hind, too....could be his wY of going, though
