I've found it easier to tear up tickets at 8/1 instead of 8/5.

TVG customers, don't forget to "opt in" on the moneyback special.

All BC races, bet $10 to win and if your horse finishes 2nd or 3rd you get your money back!!!

Also, NYRA is running their promotion, new customer sign up with $200 in bets, and they'll deposit a FREE $200 to your account.

Can you imagine what if a racetrack ever held this sort of promotion, the lines might actually be long again!

If anyone is interested, we taped individual handicapping videos for all the BC races earlier today and they are all available on the NYRA YouTube page...

I watched these earlier and they were excellent, thank you! I was thrilled to see Owendale get some attention. I think he's got a great shot at a price, and either way he's going to make some serious noise at 4.

Or, one could just look for the specific race they're interested in and click on the link on this website. ;)

Thanks. At the end of the day, he may well not be good enough, but I feel comfortable he will outrun his odds in a race where nobody is wildly appealing to me.

IMO, you got it right Covfefe is vulnerable with that post, but you got the wrong one beating her.

In a race that in my eyes has two possible winners, and one of them gets the worst of the post draws, process of elimination leaves you with the other. Let's accept that this isn't the deepest most competitive race in the Championships.
And that 3yo fillies have typically found it a difficult race to win, especially Test winners.
So, i'll take the older mare that's been winning by open lengths in graded stakes that will be higher than even money for the first time in 11 months.
Come Dancing wears down Covfefe late if that one DOESN'T have a compromised trip, or by 3+ wrapped up with ears up if she does.

Again, this is NOT a field full of top contenders, imo. There are 2.

Thais out..vets say she's unsound. Trainer said she's sound and that the vets have refused the connections offers of running further diagnostics such as x Ray's..not sure who to side with on this one

Let's talk about the Juvenile later this afternoon, which I will be watching from 32,000 ft.

Dale's horse is clearly to me the one to beat, as he paired up 8s in his two races, after dumping the jock in his debut. While his last was more workmanlike than brilliant, I felt he had more in the tank if needed, and there was a desire to educate him more than dominate the field and run a number that would have a longer term negative impact on his Derby dreams. (Not This Time anybody?) Improving on the 8s and he's a widening winner today, imo. But again, no need to be running a 4 today and put him on the shelf over the winter.

But he's actually fortunate that Maxfield is a scratch. He was a solid contender coming off his last race as he's bred to run all day going 2 turns. Will be following him closely on the Derby trail, as he has the look pedigree wise of one who will relish the spring 2 turn dirt races being by a Derby winner out of a Bernardini mare.

Not hearing the Super Bowl bells for Eight Rings. As Baffert's best babies generally debut at top competitive numbers, and then stay there for any given season with follow-up pair-ups, that didn't happen with Rings. He debuted with a solid 9, but after the mishap in his second start, he came back with a 10 1/2 in his next stretching out slightly. While that doesn't scream out to me he's a toss, neither does it suggest to me he's going to run the 9 or better again before the Spring.

So, I'm going to single Dennis' Moment in the multis, and play him together with Scabbard and Storm the Court, both of which show progressive patterns that signal to me the potential to jump up and fill in the exotics behind the favorite.

I be thankful that we're at Santa Anita today.
Aqueduct is muddy and off the turf.
Don't know about Churchill yet, but they were off the turf the last couple of days.

First Breeders Cup runner for American Pharoah becomes his first winner. Nice job Four Wheel Drive!

He never looked in danger of losing that race. Another Miracle also hit the board for American Pharoah. Great race by the winner but I was also impressed by Chimney Rock, who completely changed his running style for this, and Kimari, who was flying late.

I think the majority of his winners have been on turf. Incredible boon for Coolmore...

What a gorgeous ride on Structor, and a pretty nice price as well!

Poor Decorated Invader. Zero chance with that trip. These big turf races can be pretty scary when there's no pace.

Inquiry. I was wondering what had happened to number 6 my stream is lagging and I thought he tried to jump a shadow or something. Now on the head on it looks like he shied hard from Structor for whatever reason, bumped into the rail and then immediately stopped.
