Where is Kennedy to launch his annual thread about his BC contenders? Normally, this initially shows up in early Summer. This year......crickets.

I don't even think he did his Derby 20-20 this year. All the regular list-folk seem to have gone MIA.

I guess if people have a lock now's the time to broadcast it. Pretty crazy how fast 2019 has motored along, we're almost 2 weeks out.

I wonder if Facebook and other social media options have pulled those regulars away from this old-style website forum. That seems to have been the fate of many discussion boards like this, which have gone from thriving to nearly dead in just a couple of years or less.

Trainer Jorge Navarro confirms Jose Ortiz to ride Shancelot in Breeders Cup Sprint.
I've found it easier to tear up tickets at 8/1 instead of 8/5.

I think this year has been tough on people, and last year's TC I think left a weird sort of fatigue. I can't exactly put my finger on it. I haven't followed racing nearly as closely as I have last year so it's not like I'm even discussing it on other platforms.

I hope Kennedy is ok though.

I wasn't suggesting Kennedy was dealing with any kind of issue, other than 'life', but of course that's always a possibility. I also hope he's okay, but just assumed people come and go on sites like this for various reasons. Happens to me as well.

Two weeks out, expect major works this weekend for most runners. On cue, Dennis's Moment, goes 5f in 58.60, best of 65, and a full second faster than the next fastest work at the distance. Look forward to any video on XBTV, but he's gotta be one of the keys to multi-race plays, doesn't he?

I would put my money on him. Eight Rings is impressive but he still runs so green...

I know the Sprint is looking to be loaded, but I would put my mythical money on Imperial Hint if I had to choose.
Love that adorable little rocket. :D

Tammy kicked him off with some urging, but quickly had to reign him back in. Sitting on go.

Filly and Mare sprint is a 2 horse race. Throw the rest out.

Catalina Cruiser looks like he's headed to the Breeders' Cup Sprint.

That was the word early Saturday morning from trainer John Sadler shortly after Catalina Cruiser, in his penultimate work for the Breeders' Cup, worked a sharp five furlongs in 1:00.60 as dawn broke.

"We're leaning toward the Sprint," Sadler said, though he said he "might cross-enter" at pre-entry time on Monday in the Dirt Mile, too. But everything he said indicated the Sprint is where Catalina Cruiser is headed.

"His speed figures are faster sprinting, around one turn," Sadler said.

The six-furlong Sprint is shaping up as one of the toughest races of the Nov. 2 card, with Mitole, Imperial Hint, and Shancelot among those expected to start.

That's a Baffert horse time. Hopefully not too sharp?

Trainer has never had a horse this good, not sure he knows what to do preparing for the big day.

Ohh, and who is the other horse?

Not an unfair handicapping criticism, but the same thing could have been said prior to the Grade 1 Ballerina, couldn't it?

On Sheet numbers, her and Covfefe are pretty close, but I need to look again at Guarana and her sprint numbers.

Yankees eliminated last night. Giants getting toasted by the Arizona Cardinals in the first half, and I just flipped to Belmont and watched a race worthy of Fingerlakes on a Monday afternoon.

Breeders Cup can't get here soon enough.

Danny Dimes is making a comeback.

I kind of don't get the wavering with Cataliner Cruiser. There is a big difference between 6f and 8f, and I don't think I have confidence in a horse where the trainer is all over the place. I feel the same about Omaha Beach.
