Jerkens went on to speak of the winning career debut of Stronach Stables' 2-year-old Green Light Go on Thursday afternoon.
The homebred son of Hard Spun broke sharply under jockey Junior Alvarado and glided home to a wire-to-wire victory to win by 3 ¼ lengths, registering an 84 Beyer.

“He was breezing well. I didn't expect him to come out of the gate that sharp so that was good to see,” Jerkens said. “Then I knew once that happened we had a good shot. Speed has been good all meet so once he broke that sharp I felt pretty good.”

Jerkens said that Green Light Go would probably be bound for stakes action at Saratoga for his next start.

“I haven't thought quite that far ahead. We'll get him up there and take it from there,” Jerkens said.

I hope Buxom Beast does well. I was a fan of her sire, The Big Beast. That was a horse who really deserved his name.

Cost "only" $85K but from a $5K sire.

The wife listed as owner.

Dennis’s Moment super impressive at Ellis Park today winning by over 19 lengths only 3/5 off track record for 7 fur in his second start. In first start at Churchill this son of Tiznow clipped heels, lost rider, still continued running and “won” race. One to watch for sure. Trained by Dale Romans, may start next in Hopeful ( I hope) or Iroquois.

thanks for that info Squeaky! I love Tiznow babies - and I really like Dale Romans too - so I will be looking out now for this 2yo - thanks again!

I've been posting updates and some comprehensive lists of American Pharoah's 2017 offspring in the "American Pharoah's Children" thread in the "Horse Followings" section here.

Rather than spam multiple threads with duplicate information, here's a pointer to hopefully accurate information on AP's progeny list, starts, status, etc - https://www.thoroughbredchampions.com/f ... 21d27dbdb4

Very impressive win at DMR today by Eight Rings! By Empire Maker out of the Pure Prize mare Purely Hot and trained by Bob Baffert, definitely one to watch going forward. Reminds me somewhat of his sire in appearance/conformation.
