I finally picked a Derby winner! That I couldn't even bet!

Nice to see connections who have been in this forever get their win. I am IMPRESSED by that win.

...did I see 1:12 and change?

Not enthused by that race at all, but the winner was very game. Honestly, I'm most impressed by the public here. An absolutely incredible streak.

How would you "fix" the system then?

Did...did Master Fencer...hit the board?

Is that what I heard Collmus say?

Bring back the sprinters and the 2yo champs who just automatically earn! What glorious chaos we had. I look bad on it fondly.

And don't forget they won this with a 2f blowout this morning. That is some old school shit!

I think I heard that too? Country House was second but there was just a wall of staggering horses behind them.

EDIT: Nope I think he was fifth. Code of Honor third, Tacitus fourth.

I love it! Beautiful! #7 strikes again! Glad I was wrong there and he just wired the field.

Maximum Security made more money for me than Justify already.

Next year, I'll be very quiet with my pick until the final minutes before post. Wooo-hoooo!

Oof, the winner was a wrecking ball turning for home. They'll never DQ him, but that affected a lot of horses.

Well, at least my research paper doesn't look bad now.

I had to write a "prediction" research paper in Comp II this year. I predicted that the favorite would win the Derby in 2019 and probably for the foreseeable future.

Yeah, i agree.

I really do like War of Will. I think he redeemed himself a bit here although he was rank AF.

Congrats to all connections of Maximum Security, very game and came back without a speck of dirt on him.

Wow ok well Maximum Security was SUPER impressive! I really thought he was done at the top of the stretch but he just wasn’t gonna let them get by!

Yea I did think War of Will was pretty badly impeded but I’m not sure War of Will would have won. Might have come in in the money though.

He fouled the 1 for sure, imo, but I hope for Jason Servis' sake they keep him up. He just won me over with the post race interview.
