Someone in the Saratoga coverage commentator crew said he was 15 .2.
Not sure if he technically qualifies as pony-sized, but every horse on the track made him look like one...even the buckskin Maggie was riding for her on-track interview towered over him. :o

Imperial Hint is a horse, not a pony!

I believe they said he was "15 and a half hands", not sure if they meant 15.2 or 15 1/2 inch hands. The guess says they meant 15.2, the eye says maybe smaller. As 14.2 hands and under is the official definition of a "pony" he misses the cut either way. Regardless, he appears as a pony among men until he turns for home. Somewhere, the "diminutive" Jackson Bend is smiling.

Nobody said he was, only that he looks pony-sized.

Tiz A Slam dominated the Nijinsky (G2) today at Woodbine. I would love to see this guy win Canadian HOY! He is a great example of a sound, hard knocking competitor who has maintained his class for years.

Even though the party appears to be over, Catalina Cruiser edged Giant Expectations in a thrilling stretch duel to repeat in the Pat O'Brien.

That was a good run by Catalina Cruiser - the pace was hot, he was wide, looked like GE was going to get by and Cruiser found an extra gear.

Bolo and Annals of Time are something else, coming off year+ layoffs to win G1s. Same with Bricks and Mortar.

Catalina Cruiser is a beast. Really hope he gets a Grade 1 soon. It might have to come in the Breeder’s Cup... I’m worried his connections will retire him after this season.

The Hronis's seem to be sporting fellas, so there's a higher chance he'll be kept around.

??? What. Party???
I've found it easier to tear up tickets at 8/1 instead of 8/5.

Fingers crossed! Six just seems to be pushing it for a horse of his caliber, especially if he gets a Grade 1, but you're right about the Hronis'. I remember how they did Steller Wind justice. Loved that mare.

I really enjoy watching Catalina Cruiser. He likes to win and he is a handsome hunk of horse.

I was a bit curious to see if he would stretch out but it sounds like his connections intend on keeping him in sprint/mile contests.

If they don't have the BC Dirt Mile circled on their calendar, I would be very surprised. ;)
IIRC, he likes Santa Anita.

Sounds like he will be in either the Dirt Mile or the Sprint.

Oh yeah -- I'd forgotten all about him. Hope he's all right.

Seven-year-old Disco Partner finished 3rd in the $100,000 Lucky Coin turf sprint at Saratoga this afternoon. A year or two ago, he would have blown by that field.
Think maybe it's time for the handsome little grey to find a comfy stall in a NY stallion barn and start making little 'Partners. :P :D
