I wonder if Abel has hit that stage in a filly's life where they've had enough of racing. When you think about it, racing's not that much fun for a horse if they aren't eager to compete.
Off to the shed for AT?
Agree. She's done looking at BB every morning and giving everything in every work/start. It's time.

...and this Sol Kumin guy everyone talks about got an interview.

Doesn’t he just like, only buy into horses before the big races?

I know hindsight is 20/20 but I said before Wonder Gadot ran in the Travers that I thought they should've gone to the Breeders' Stakes, taken the Canadian Triple Crown, gotten the Canadian 3yo F and HOTY awards and given her the rest of the year off, to come back for an older female campaign in the US next year because there was honestly no scenario in which MG wasn't getting 3yo champion. I felt even more strongly about her getting time off after her Travers run... I don't want to tell Casse how to run his barn but...

Mike was interviewed and he said that his filly just had no run. Nothing wrong with her, had good position, hitting the ground good...but no run.
I take that to mean that she had no interest in exerting herself. When a horse loses interest in running hard, I doubt that you can train them to change their mind.
Is a fee bump likely for Tapizar? ;) :D

They bought MG as a yearling. I just recently realized the breeder bought Drumette, the dam, from Kendall Hansen who had set up the breeding with Tapizar.

Enable has that "it" factor.

She knows it & so do we.

She wins. Or she loses big here. I don't see her being beat though.

I was quietly rooting for her, but when she went to the front immediately I didn’t think she’d hold on. I had the same thoughts as you when I heard she was skipping the Breeder’s for the Travers.

Using Enable plenty, but I still like Glorious Empire and her odds are not appealing. Channel Maker a bit too.

Can I have an Enable (bc, well Enable) - Talismanic (bc he’s so handsome) dead heat? Please? Hah. Probably not, but I can dream. ;)

Wow. How does a horse go so horribly off racing like Abel Tasman?

Kudos to Monomoy Girl, I thought she was cooked after her last race, but was SO wrong.

Arklow is so adorable. Sadler's Joy always tries so hard.

Not to be dramatic but if Enable doesn't win, I will be devastated.

Anyone want to try counting all the horses who descend from Sadler's Wells in this race?
There are very few who don't. :P
