Wow! Mind Your Biscuits - back to back! That was an impressive finish, I didn't think he'd quite collar X Y Jet but he proved me wrong!

Curious if TVG will be showing the big race live?
The reason I ask is that I see NBC sports network is covering it too!?!?!
I've found it easier to tear up tickets at 8/1 instead of 8/5.

When he got up to about 1/2 length off Roy H I thought "there's no one he gets past X Y Jet"... and then he just kept going.
He earned a Stakes Record time 1:10.12

I DVR'd the early races and just watched the UAE Derby.... :o :o :o :o :o :o :o
Not sure I can add much to what everyone else said about Mendelssohn, but this may be the year when the UAE Derby provides a real threat for the Run for the Roses. Beholder's little brother was good on grass and synth, but he is a BEAST on dirt.
Yeah, Treve, Scat Daddy is a huge loss to the breed. We could see four of his colts (Combatant, Flameaway, Justify, Mendelssohn) make the Derby gate.

Can I just say that I love how they have the best turned out horse and recognize their grooms with an award

After his gate antics, I thought Hawkbill was done. That was a pleasant surprise.

I was distracted by Cloth of Stars fighting with his jockey to sit off the pace the majority of the race..

Hawkbill went to the front in the Sheema Classic and then improved his position.
Can we finally say that Kitten's Joy sires superb grass runners who can win at the highest level all over the world? :P ;)
Re: The split screen. Yeah, I was swearing at TVG. How could they squeeze the $6 million Sheema Classic into equally-small space with a claimer from Gulfstream? Must be contractual.

ETA: Sounds like TVG IS showing the World Cup. Yay. although I may switch over to NBCSN for the race. Because high-definition.

Lovely race from Hawkbill even after he got over-excited at the gate! Can't believe I got him at 8-1 on my platform.
Too bad Cloth of Stars was fighting so hard against his jock, he did well to hang on for third, all things considered.

Also, no split screen on XBTV, js...

TVG's split screen strikes again. Scot Hazelton was able to get an interview with Bob Baffert before the big race, but were we able to hear it? NOOO, we had to hear the call from Gulfstream.
