Will Isla Bonita be standing at Shadai as well? He's really a stunner to look at, he's a classic winner, and with his durability throughout 5 seasons of racing, winning graded stakes from 7f to 11f... he could be a really good value.

Still enamored with her dominating American Oaks victory and I'm so chuffed she has gone on to become a successful broodmare.

As much as I love Vodka, I have to credit Buena Vista for hooking me on Japanese racing. I was SO MAD when she was DQ'd from the Japan Cup & Rose Kingdom given the win...

What a lovely idea to feature Japanese racing's top fillies & mares. If the studs can get their own calendar it seems only fair.

I suspect that Cesario's ranking (#7) in this fans voting was undermined by her short career as a racehorse.
It was very unfortunate that her overwhelming victory in the American Oaks at 3 became her last race. She had to retire from racing due to ligament injury with a life-time record of 6-5-1-0.
I personally believe that Cesario has been the most talented filly of all time in Japan.
And I'm very happy to see her talent being passed down to her sons.

Buena Vista is definitely my all-time best, even if I still respect my filly Daiwa Scarlet, haha!

Overall, I have no complaints about the top ten fillies selected by the fans in this voting.

I'm glad that the monster filly Hishi Amazon still hangs in #6.

He seems like such a good-natured horse. Maybe he's only a ham when a camera is around, but he just looks so relaxed around his people. Perhaps he's the Japanese American Pharoah?

I'm going to miss watching him run, but it will be fun when his babies hit the track.
