I've watched the replay 6 times now, and I can't see how the outcome was affected. Ria Antonia didn't lose an inch of ground. Bad decision

Secret Compass has been euthanized because of her injuries, per Larry Bramlage.
Cause of euthanization: Blood supply lost due to dislocation.

At least they didn't have to worry about a jockey being unfamiliar with him.

What a crappy start to the day.

I said yesterday that my Breeders' Cup was great no matter what happens today, but after one race, I am starting to rethink those words.

The one I saw off my AWD made it look fairly insignificant. However, I understand trip handicapping is a little subjective. I didn't have any money on this race so it's not like I've got a dog in the argument.. but I guess since the margin of victory was so small they felt it deserved.
I meant the head-on of just about the whole run down the backstretch, left out so nobody would see the breakdown. Most tracks do that, but not for that great a part of the race.

Based on his ride on Laughing, Dan is a toss. Sigh.

Omg I am SO angry!!! TSN2 is supposed to be playing the BC from 3:30 on, but there is stupid car racing on instead!!!! Argh!! I can't tune in on tv until 6 pm so I will have missed 5 races by then. Unacceptable.

Guess I will go online and see if I can find anything and now I'm relying more on this thread for what's going on. :)

I just left TSN a very scathing voicemail about this too. Geeez!!

Only Euro's drop words like loquacious in normal convo.

Just saying he's talkative. Jesus.

1:58 for a new race record. The times are crazy.

If anyone is not in the US (like me) the official breeder's cup website has a pretty good live feed.

I thought maybe I was watching the wrong horse and that she actually broke poorly, but nope. Maybe it wasn't her day but I can't wrap my head around it.

Euros dominating turf so far. Does Havelock count as a Euro in the turf sprint?

The speed bias did. Her best race was actually over two turns, and I don't get why everyone has also forgotten than My Happy Face was the best horse in the Test by a country mile.

Must have been us! Groupie Doll still the heavy favorite in the exotic pools, go wild.
