Can't believe they took Shes a Tiger down.

That is disappointing, in England, she would stand for sure.

They said they weren't covering the Juvenile Fillies.

A breakdown and an iffy DQ. What a start!

I honestly can't believe they took her down. The contact didn't cause any stumble, nor slowing her down. Pfffffh. From the head on they only touched, not like she fully bumped into her. Bah!

You don't DQ like that in the BC.

I am a bitter that they took the winner down. I truly don't like the California stewards, but I am biased as I had She's a Tiger.

I hope the Secret Compass will be okay.

The contact absolutely altered the result. This coming from someone alive to 4 horses in the 5th in the Pick 5 if they kept Stevens up. I hoped provincialism would have kept up the west coast connections over the NY horse, to be honest, but I think you have to make that DQ.

"Majority decision," Trevor said. Guess one of the stewards didn't agree.

Secret Compass has been euthanized because of her injuries, per Larry Bramlage.

Not sure I agree with that DQ though Jeff Siegel did point out that the 5 galloped out much the best. Not sure that means anything. The 10 slightly made contact with the 5, who didn't even break stride. And I was losing money either way since I had the 10 and none of the others on my exacta ticket, so no bias.

I heard that argument but I don't think gallop outs should determine things, every horse gallops out differently. I understand the momentum argument but there was so little contact that I was pretty surprised by the decision.

(and pretty biased.. had Tiger in a lot of bets)

To be honest, She's A Tiger was the one who shifted about 2 paths after bouncing off of Ria Antonia, the other filly moved like half a path. They shouldn't have taken her down.

How awful, horrible start to second day of Breeder's Cup. Praying for her connections, they must be devastated. She was such a young talented filly :(

The one I saw off my AWD made it look fairly insignificant. However, I understand trip handicapping is a little subjective. I didn't have any money on this race so it's not like I've got a dog in the argument.. but I guess since the margin of victory was so small they felt it deserved.

Johnny V. has gone to the hospital across the street. Castellano will ride Alterite next race. Justin Phillip looking for a rider; presumably others are too.
