I'm nervous for the Distaff! I wish for a dead heat with Beholder, Princess, Authenticity, and Royal Delta...prob not gonna happen though so sentimental choice is Royal. Please come home safe ladies.

I think we're going to find going forward that there were some pretty talented 2yos running in the two turf races today.
Don't be so optimistic.. it doesn't fit in on this forum.
A year ago I was digging my house out from under a huge 150 year old oak tree that fell on top of it. I'm feeling a little better this year without the consequences of a hurricane outside, so everyone's going to have to endure my optimism.

Even with the speed bias, I'm going with Princess.

With the speed bias... think Beholder might have the edge here. But then Royal Delta can be on front too and Mike's riding her... hmmm. Hope Princess will be close to the pace today.

This is actually one of the races where I don't care who wins at all (ok I might be a tiiiny bit more happier if Princess would win it). I would like at least a triple dead heat. Not gonna bet this one, too little value but on paper it's the most exciting race of the whole weekend.

I'm not going to be sad if Beholder, Princess, Delta or Close Hatches win.

Was legitimately thinking the exact same thing when I was posting. When I see the commercials for one year later I'm like too soon...

Delta and Princess looked terrible. Beholder and CH easily best of the rest.

That was disappointing by Delta :| Well that BC is now ruined for me.

I know they'd think on it, but I can't imagine Royal Delta coming back next year off of that effort. Even with the bias, I am surprised Princess of Sylmar finished dead last.

SA now 0-for-2 with hyped Distaffs. I assume the voters won't hold it against Princess.

The speed bias is disappointing but a nice run by Beholder nonetheless. I was hoping she would get it. It looked like Royal Delta backed off as soon as the dirt started flying at her face. Too bad.

Pretty disappointed. I wanted Princess of Sylmar to win this. Sigh.

I don't know horses like many of you here ...but that didn't seem like the RD that I have known in other races. Is she just not interested in racing anymore? Or, was Beholder just having a great day?

PoS...awww...I remember reading that many thought she should pass on the BC b/c she's been running since the Oaks...think that was a factor?

Anyhooo...congrats to Beholder and Gary - she looked great! :)

Jenn

(as much as I like RD, I'm sort of happy that Goldikova's record still stands)

IMO, this really just fits my opinion of her. I think she's best when a little unchallenged on the lead and she tosses the towel in every now and then.
