Harp Star(JPN), 5th in the Kyoto Kinen, accepted the invitation to the Dubai Sheema Classic.

I know that American horses have a less-than-stellar record in Dubai's turf races, but Main Sequence looks really strong. This is a horse who just wants to win, and has the sort of scorching stretch kick that wins grass races.

I'll be betting Dubai and proceeding with extreme caution with Main Sequence. No way of knocking if his US success is a result of him getting 'better' or if some of the medications he can use here, but nowhere else, are a factor.

Even news from Dubai on how horses are looking at the track and what their trainers are saying, etc.
Just realized that Amwest has free PPs for Dubai

Either medication or his competition being weaker, or he is really getting better. Can't wait for Dubai and if that is successful I hope they'll make a trip to Europe.

There is one UNCONFIRMED tweet suggesting things not good for Cavalryman, hope it isn't true, but think we should wait for official report

There are also some tweets from people saying he has died but that is yet unconfirmed by a reliable source. I hope those tweets are wrong :(

Twitter is ablaze with "RIP Cavalryman", yet no one really cares to wait for confirmation. Really surprised Godolphin hasn't even provided a single official update. Even Coolmore was pretty forthcoming when St Nicholas Abbey was injured

I've heard Cavalryman suffered a condylar fracture and was undergoing or has undergone surgery, results unknown. Hope for best.

Per the Stewards' report from last night's race... he was euthanized. However, I will wait for more solid confirmation (word from Godolphin).
Stewards' Reports for Nad Al Sheba Trophy Empowered By IPIC

CAVALRYMAN (GB) – (W Buick): Broke down near the 1400 metres and was retired from the race. A veterinary examination revealed a fracture of the right hind pastern and the horse was subsequently euthanased.

Sad news...RIP Cavalryman.

After watching the racing from Sha Tin last night, I think Designs On Rome may be my top choice for the Sheema Classic. The son of Holy Roman Emperor (who is still listed as a 'colt' on the Bloodhorse Profile, but since he's been a Hong Kong resident for a while, I presume he's a gelding) inhaled a good field in the G1 Hong Kong Gold Cup. Helene Super Star (who used to be Lines of Battle  ) was a good second, and looks to be finding his form in Hong Kong.
