Re: Stallion News

I would love to see a farm here in the States stand him on NH time. I love this horse and think he was an wonderfully talented performer. Plus he’s just gorgeous.

Re: R.I.P. King Kamehameha

How beautiful and touching that a nation could love these two talented and gorgeous boys so much that they can honour them like this, and allow the public to share in their memorials.

Re: 2019 Foals

That’s good to hear. I heard of farms here that would hide foals until Jan 1st. Wonder why the US doesn’t adopt something similar?

Re: 2019 Foals

I have a question about Australian foals. If August 1st is the official birthday, like January 1st is here, is that cute little foal born in late July considered a yearling today, as it would be here in the US? Just wondering.

That’s exactly what I told my husband, that it sounded similar to what happened to Seattle Slew.

Re: Deep Impact was put down

How sad such a wonderful stallion is gone so young. This life is such a fleeting moment in the grand scheme of things. But that doesn’t ease the hurt of losing such a special animal.

Re: Stallion News

Such distressing news for certain. I wonder if the stress of travel and quarantine is too much, will he just remain in New Zealand permanently.

I know Ribot ended up in the US permanently because of issues flying him home.

Re: Stallion News

With so many new stallions retiring to stud each year, breeders have a huge pool to choose a stallion from. Is it any wonder why those stallions that are not the creme de is creme don’t have huge books mares?

Re: Racing in Japan

I have a question for those in Japan. I work for a Japanese company and my boss is going for two weeks. I have asked him to try and find one of the Almond Eye stuffed animal characters that I have seen are available. I would be happy with any number of choices, but she is a favorite, as well as Kit...

Re: 2019 Preakness Stakes

If he wins the Belmont, the case could be made that had he not been cut off by MS in the Derby, he might have been a TC winner.

I love this guy and hope he can emulate Catholic Boy and get a G1 on the turf as s 3 year old.

Re: New Conformation Photos

I for one find Curlin a nice looking horse. He’s a bit stocky but he looks like a beast.

Justify does nothing for me, and one mare I would never send to him would be Songbird, with her conformational issues. Speaking of Songbird, who did they send her to this year? I must have missed it.

Re: Stallion News

Did Curlin have a good day yesterday or what at Pimlico? His offspring won 3 stakes races there; the Black Eyed Suzanne, the Pimlico Special and the Allaire DuPont Distaff. He also had the third place finisher in the Pimlico Special as well. He had the winner of the Peter Pan a few days back also. H...
