Re: Six dead in shootings near Philadelphia

The suspect apparently was found dead in the woods near Pennsburg, PA. What a horrible thing to happen to his ex-wife and her family.

Re: Horses having fun in the snow

It's all right. I like the one with the horses and the donkey running around to Jingle Bell Rock better. ;) Me, too! I was looking around YouTube for something like that one but didn't see one. I think I may still have the link to the Jingle Bell Rock video bookmarked somewhere. I'll try to resurre...

Horses having fun in the snow

This isn't Christmas music but it's a cute video with horses in the snow, and some trick training. The pony running around cracks me up. :)

Re: Orion spacecraft test launch is set for 7:05 a.m. Thursd

Cool to see us headed back to space on our own again. I went outside, but a heavy cloud cover obscured seeing the launch. I was surprised I didn't even hear the roar or feel any of the vibration I used to when the shuttle took off, either.

Oops, I let the cow in (video)

This is from earlier this year, but I hadn't seen it before and it's totally adorable. :)

Re: Stallion News

Does anyone know where, or if, Jackson Bend is standing next year? After he was retired for the second time this past March, Fred Brei said J.B. would stand the 2015 breeding season in Florida but a farm had yet to be determined.

Hope everything goes well for you, SS. The prep is definitely the worst part. They give you good drugs for the actual procedure! ;)

Here's an interesting story I saw in my daily email from Horse Races Now. The owner and stallion who have taken French racing by storm How Augustin-Normand’s love of Le Havre, the “horse who winked at him,” has defied the odds and paid huge dividends The dazzling rise of French sire sensation Le Hav...

Re: Songs that bother you

Since it's almost that time of year Grandma got run over by a reindeer. This song needs to be permanently banned with a severe penalty on any station that plays it. Anything by Beiber needs the same punishment. Oh lord yes, I detest the "grandma" at song. I know there are folks who like "The Little...

One measure of Rachel and Zen's "greatness" is that their almost rivalry can still inspire 5 pages of arguing many years after both mares retired. ;)

Re: Ebola

Does that mean if someone tests negative for Ebola, it is a definitive determination that they don't harbor the virus? If that's the case, would that nullify the concern over a 21-day incubation period? This is kind of down to the level of detection for the assay the labs use for ebola, which would...

Hall of Fame trainer Bob Baffert reported that all of his Breeders' Cup starters came out of their races in good order, but all of the buzz was about Bayern, who delivered Baffert his 11th Breeders' Cup victory and his first in the Classic in 13 tries dating back to 1998. http://www.brisnet.com/cgi...

So, let me ask again, does anyone know if a person tests negative for the ebola virus, does that mean there is no amount of virus in their body? Does the test detect any minute amount of virus in a person? In other words, would the current ebola test pick up the virus at any point during its 21-day...
