Re: New Conformation Photos
Apologies if these were posted, but just happened to see them on Coolmore's site. I did do a Forum search but it didn't bring these up if previously posted. Re: Photos/News about Broodmares
Apologies if this was already answered, but does anyone know who Union Strike was bred to? I thought Bolt d’Oro but recently someone said she was sent to Frankel? Ruis said she was going to Bolt d'Oro, then she was consigned to the 2018 Keeneland November Sale and while she RNA'd, I think Juddmonte...

Flat Out moving to Oklahoma https://www.bloodhorse.com/horse-racing/articles/235970/flat-out-to-move-to-mighty-acres-in-oklahoma Who was asking last week about how Spendthrift is able to fit 5 news stallions in their already massive roster? I'm guessing the handwriting is on the wall for several ot...

Re: Siblings (and offspring) of well-known horses
Sottsass , a Siyouni half-brother to Sistercharlie , just won the Prix du Jockey Club. Sottsass won the Prix Niel (G2) today, the Longchamp Arc prep for 3yos A majorly pinheaded ride from Cristian Demuro almost lost it. It was so epically bad that it was pretty much all the announcer on the ATR fee...

Re: 2019 Keeneland September
I admit that I do not get why some horses sell at the prices they do. The hip # 1302 Candy Ride colt sold for 4k...did they not like his looks, breeding, presentation? Also, is there a way of looking up a horse once it's racing to see the original sale price? You can see their auction price(s) in t...

Re: Siblings (and offspring) of well-known horses
Mogul (IRE) (Galileo/Shastye), a full brother to Japan, etc., broke his maiden in the first race on the card at the Curragh today. Mogul just won the Juvenile S (G2) at Leopardstown. He looks really talented. I wonder what path Coolmore will take with him. The race was a WAYI for the BC, but there ...

The article is inaccurate, though. He only stood one season at Buck Pond, not two.

Re: 2019 Keeneland September
I think there's a not-insignificant number of top end yearlings (particularly colts) brought to the sale because the owners are looking for partners more than to actually sell them.

The filly out of Warbling went for $260K earlier, to what I believe are Japanese connections.CoronadosQuest wrote: ↑Fri Sep 13, 2019 1:41 pmHow are the California Chrome yearlings looking? Are they selling well?

Don’t know if there was anything wrong with her, but I do know Dixiana bought her back since she was a foal share. I’m assuming they’ll sell her as a two yr old next year Thanks for the info! You’re welcome! Unless they go for decent prices I think quite a bit of the Kitten’s Joys Dixiana is sellin...

Re: 2019 Keeneland September
I would love to see more Kittens running abroad. I had to check the results. They actually wound up with 4 KJs, the full to Bobby's Kitten, the $700K colt, another one for $325K who's from the family of Forestry and Cash Run, plus a filly for $100K, who was the cheapest horse Shadwell bought from B...

Re: Stallion News
If that's the big announcement from Spendthrift, color me underwhelmed. If they're looking to build an empire via the Into Mischief line, I'd be more interested in Mr. Money than Maximus Mischief, personally. Maybe they think a son of Into Mischief is an easier sell than a son of Goldencents, but Mr...

Re: Siblings (and offspring) of well-known horses
Alfie Solomons (full to World of Trouble) just debuted at Ky Downs in Race 4. As a Wesley Ward trainee, it is not surprising that he rocketed to the lead and managed to hold off 2 closing foes to secure the victory.
