Re: TV Discussion Thread

Yes, that's good that Arya doesn't die. I was worried about the path Littlefinger was leading the Stark kids down.

Re: TV Discussion Thread

You guys are making me not want to watch!

It's the only TV show I watch, and I'm obsessed with it. My life kinda sucks right now, and it's the highlight of my week, so when the show is sad, I've got nothing. Can you tell me if there's anything happy to look forward to???

The next episode is gonna be devastating. Too many good characters are in danger. I'm scared.

Re: TV Discussion Thread

Was I the only one who thought Jon made up the cave drawings to convince Dany to fight for him? They looked like amateur chalk art.

Didn't Points Offthebench suffer a fatal breakdown in a pre-BC work?
Sorry, I meant his full brother, graded stakes winner Bench Points.

Re: Favorite race videos

My #1 pick-me-up is Zenyatta's 2009 Classic from the TVG feed, because the crowd audio is much, much better than ESPN. You can see it and the post-race comments on the www.CalRacing.com free replays. I sometimes intersperse it with the great post-race interviews from ESPN's coverage. My favorite rac...

Re: Zayat's Selective Outrage

I liked when he said something to the effect of "when you get a good one, you have to take care of them" during AP's run last year. So if they aren't a "good one" you don't have to take care of them? And your first grade 1 winner isn't a good one? Dropped down to claiming races in New Mexico, someho...

The year that everyone uses as an argument against running at Santa Anita was one of the Euros' most successful years ever. Fact.

Re: The Gallop Racer Thread

Oh man, we need to start Video Game Horses Anonymous. I can relate to so many things you've said. I was pretty young when I got OOT, but I went through the scary temples simply so I could do more with Epona. I like to try to beat my time on the Lon Lon Ranch course, but I'm convinced :58 is the best...

Re: The Gallop Racer Thread

Of the racing games, I only liked Gallop Racer 2001 and G1 Jockey 3. But eventually GR gets old when you keep breeding identical, chestnut superhorses. What are some of the best non-racing horses you've ridden in video games? I like Epona in Ocarina of Time (best video game of all-time!) and Majora'...

Re: S.A. workouts

I asked John Malone, the clocker at Santa Anita and Del Mar, and he repeated what I'd always heard. "In the east there version of breezing in our version of handily. We tried years ago to try to get on the same page but too many complaints from west coast horsemen. Breezing here is very rare and onl...

Re: Contacting connections of racehorses

Do people still write letters? lol I would try e-mailing first and some of the top trainers in the sport are great on twitter and facebook and are actually very responsive. I highly doubt a trainer is going to write you back. If you are looking for a trainer just call them. If you are a fan perhaps...
