Re: Retirements 2013

“She has a little issue,” Hollendorfer said of Lady of Fifty’s condition. “She will go to the sale and won’t race again.” As horrible as it may sound, I hope it's true that she does have a "little issue" that would keep her from racing but not prevent her from training up to the sale. I would reall...

Re: horses with unique coloring/facial markings

Woah, cool! At a quick glance it just looks like the horse is super washed out and foamy. Love it!

Re: Stallion News

* "Champion Leroidesanimaux, sire of Kentucky Derby winner Animal Kingdom, will relocate overseas to stand at Lanwades Stud in Newmarket, England beginning in 2014." This is disappointing. He sired a Kentucky Derby and World Cup winner, but that didn't earn him enough support to avoid being exporte...

Re: Retirements 2013

Lady of Fifty was retired with a "slight issue" says Hollendorfer, will go through the Keeneland November sale as a broodmare prospect. Has the "slight issue" been made public? The BH article makes it sound as though she's fine and her connections are just cowards not wanting to get beat...... "I j...

Re: New Conformation Photos

I'm not a fan of the angle of her front hooves (they look too sloped to me) but I'm definitely no confirmation expert. I know there's a term for all that, but I can't think of it right now at 6:30am. Other than that I think she looks nice.

St Nicholas Abbey

Haven't heard any updates on him in what seems like a while. Anyone know how he's doing? Hopefully his recovery hasn't suffered any more setbacks?

I sent them an email a few months ago asking about him and they never got back to me. Hopefully you'll have better luck.

Re: In Memoriam

Prophete De Guye (FR) was put down on the 8th after another horse struck into the back of him, severing his tendons. His trainer posted this video of him playing in his paddock, well worth a look. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ARZpUMjcNVY That sounds gruesome. RIP, Prophete De Guye, National Hero,...
