Re: Retirements 2016

Rachel's Valentina has been retired. After her last two races I kinda got the feeling that she either had something going on physically or was done being a racehorse and was ready to be a mom.

Stradivari suffered a career ending injury today in a work at Saratoga. Stradivari is currently being stabilized at Rood and Riddle, and if all goes well, they hope to do surgery on Monday, with hopes of save him for a stud career. http://www.bloodhorse.com/horse-racing/articles/213519/stradivari-s...

Re: Random Retiree News

We went out to see one of our 2-yr-olds in training this morning at Margaux Farm in Midway, KY. In the first stall of her barn is the pony, Becrux ! I didn't get any pictures because he was snoozing in the back corner of his stall, but he seems happy and well-loved. Team Valor still owns him, and h...

Re: Caracortado

wonder if he'll show up in a sale then, like an estate dispersal type thing? Given that he's 9 and a gelding, and has had so many issues staying in training, my bet would be on him being retired to stay with Machowsky. He's had him in the barn since 2009 and seems genuinely attached to him, so I ho...

Re: In Memoriam 2016

How awful. RIP Wolfie, condolences to his humans. I can see using a gun as a last ditch desperate method of euthanasia, but on a healthy 11 year old retiree in cold blood? Hell no. Absolutely dispicable. I hope whoever pulled the trigger gets exactly what they deserve (which in my opinion is a .45 t...

Re: Ramsey + Royal Ascot = Angry

It must be very hard getting up in the morning, looking in the mirror, and staring back at you is the face of a man whose Royal Ascot horses aren't winning. We can only appreciate his candor and openness during this difficult and trying time. LOL seriously, it sounds like somebody needs to change h...

I was also wondering where he'd been. Where and whenever, I hope his return to racing is a successful one.

Off The Tracks became Curlin's newest Grade 1 winner today when she took the Mother Goose wire to wire by 3-ish lengths. <3

Re: Maria Borell

And of course there's always the question of, assuming they're convicted, what's the max that Kentucky can sentence them too? My guess would be not much more than a relative slap on the hand, and a token fine. I looked it up. It's a Class A Misdemeanor in Kentucky. Doesn't mean there won't be wheel...
