Re: Ziconic

He was trying :( , just too far back and goes too wide for a horse his size I think, I do think he looks better on dirt if he gets another chance. How many times do they try before giving up? Have n...

Re: Ziconic

I think putting him back on dirt and a mile is good for him if they can get him out of the gate running, not sure he was as suited for grass as everyone thought just because competition may have looked easier(?). While neither of Z's sons proved to be the horse a fan of her may have dreamed of, I do...

Re: 2015 Names

Happy Hoofer - f. Distorted Humor x Oatsee Good grief. I heard the first name they submitted was Dirt in the Skirt, presumably from A League of Their Own . Can't see the "Humor" in either name for this well-bred little one. Given that you only need to change one letter to get 'Happy Hooker', I doub...

Whatever it was, he looked more like a 'racehorse' at least. I hope he breaks his maiden in next out and maybe tries dirt again after that if the change in attitude wasn't due to surface.

Re: Siblings (and offspring) of well-known horses

Hey, he actually showed some interest today! That's what I was thinking, maybe there's hope for the guy to get a few wins if he doesn't go back on the shelf for 2 more years - so completely different than his first 2 races. Well, his next race is likely going to be at least 3 months and a dozen wor...

He seems to be channeling his mom today, but not expecting much after 2 years off given his first 2 races.

Re: Arrogate

Just watched the head on replay, not sure why Smith continued in behind El Huerfano who was all over the place, also didn't look like Arrogate appreciated the kick back or being asked to make up that much ground, like he said 'look, I really don't want to do that again', appeared to not appreciate M...

Re: Songbird

It was a great day to have Rick, all his family, and a ton of friends there for her win. That said, that was scary. When you expect to win but instead have to work for it, it's scary. But to her credit, it was stifling hot. Christina walking her in paddock was soaked going up to watch race. We were...
