Re: 2017 Fasig-Tipton November Sale

First chance to get some Triple Crown winner babies in the barn if you want one, with 6 weanlings cataloged. Only one Honor Code, though. And no mares in foal to either. Waiting on the Keeneland November Sale catalog, thank you very much. Will this be the first HC thru the ring? I see a NYB Honor C...

Re: Jockey Club's 2016 Report of Mares Bred

It always makes me a little sad to see some big names with less than 20 mares bred.

California Chrome only retired this year, so he wouldn't be on this list.

Re: Songbird

Given that he's going to make at least a few cool mil selling Songbird, I'm sure that $625 RNA won't hurt the pocket book that much. Glad to see him back in full swing!

Stakes winner Top Fortitude after breaking down at Belmont during a claiming race.

He was second to Bayern in the 2014 Woody Stephens.

Re: Songbird

Such bittersweet news. So very glad she's retiring healthy, but sad we will never see her run again. I'm glad there's some answers to her performances this year. Girl was all heart.

I'll forever treasure my Belmont memories.

That feed just cut out as they were entering the gate and went to a bunch of weird commercials

Re: Siblings (and offspring) of well-known horses

Ziconic ( Tapit x Zenyatta ) is entered in the 5th at Del Mar today. It's a 1-mile MSW on the dirt. I'm kind of surprised they've put him back on the dirt when IMO his best race may have been his last, which was on the grass. :? Anywhere to watch Del Mar online? I don't have Xpressbet  http://...

Re: Arrogate

I'm just as lost and confused as you are... There has been speculation since the San Diego that not only was Arrogate stiffed but flat out held. Evidently Baffert was betting heavily in the place and show spots. I did see Baffert after the race counting huge piles of cash along with Sasquatch and t...

Re: Arrogate

If Baffert is comfortable running him back here, I gotta trust that. He has a legit excuse to not run him here but he is anyway. Makes you wonder. Another "paid work" where it doesn't matter to the trainer where the horse finishes? What? Why do people here just to the most extreme negatives? I'm ju...

Re: Zenyatta News

You don't really expect Tapit to sire a "moose." :P I wonder how tall Tonalist is? His Stallion Register page doesn't provide that info, and those stallion profiles usually give the height of the stud. :? Means he's probably 15.2hh or under. 15.3 gets "rounded" up to 16hh in TB stallion ads and if ...

Re: Zenyatta News

Finally, a Storm Cat line stallion for her. Nothing against Bernardini or Tapit or War Front or MDO, but this mare needs some serious speed infused into her. Still holding out hope for Uncle Mo. what does she match up to City Zip with? Maybe even Speightstown. As much as it would make me fangirl sq...

Re: Zenyatta News

If Jerry and Ann married after he had made his fortune with A&M, I suspect that there will be little haggling about who gets what. Because prenup. A&M was founded in 1962. I don't know when Jerry and Ann married. I would assume they will continue to co-own Zenyatta. Not sure if they will own...

Re: Ziconic

Maybe he should spend a semester with Wesley Ward, learning how to break like one of Ward's two-year-old rockets. ;) I think if he were to break much quicker and not drop back so far, he'd have no problem breaking his maiden. But he's too much of a slug out of the gate and doesn't have hi...
