Re: The Gelding Thread

Nice to see Sunny Ridge back in the winners circle after taking the Salvator Mile at Monmouth today. Starting to look a lot like the old man.

Re: Chad Brown has been ordered to pay more than $1 million ....

My guess is that Mr. Brown knows horses and turf, and someone else in the business end of his organization is supposed to be paying a little closer attention to these details - or at least that is how it will be played out. How in the world could you possibly believe that you could get away with any...

Re: Welcome to Arizona Downs

Arizona Downs opens for live racing this Friday, May 24th, with Michael Wrona calling the races. Got the place spruced up nicely for the Memorial Day weekend inauguration. 7 million dollars worth of sprucing. Good luck to them. www.signalsaz.com/articles/horse-racing-returns-to-arizona-downs-this-we...

Re: Older Horses - 2019

Mexican Triple Crown winner Kukulkan is looking to get back to the winners circle in much friendlier company than in his last race.

Churchill Downs - 5/24/19 - Race 8 - AOC, $91,000 purse - 1 and 1/16 miles.

Good luck to him - they threw him into some pretty deep water last time out...

Re: Horse Racing is now officially a joke

So let's at least do something and get rid of that auxiliary gate. A field of 14 is more than large enough. I'll stand by my earlier message - a field of 14. With horse racing safety being scrutinized with a telescope at this point, they may eventually be forced into this - regardless of the money ...

Is she really that big of a ham, or is that one of those names that slipped by the Jockey Club?
Good one, stark. I think, however, she's named after a town in Illinois. A bit less interesting.

Re: The WAR HORSE Chronicles

Something not seen too often is a 10yo making the first start of a racing career. Such is the case with 10yo m Effingham (Six Below - Easton, by Lil E. Tee) at Fonner Park this Saturday (5/4/19) in Race 2. She'll be trying to get a piece of that $5,400 purse. It's possible that her efforts may be ov...

Oh wow. This is as big a defection as I can remember. Definitely bigger than I Want Revenge. The cynic in me imagines he won't race again but they kept bringing Normandy Invasion back. Eskendereya was a big one He was second choice on the ML, but I think Uncle Mo was a pretty big one too. WarBiscuit

I don't want to post this because it's news I'm sure no one wants to read, but it's true. TVG just announced. Trapped epiglottis.
That's too bad. I really like him. Hope everything turns out OK for him. Gotta feel bad for Mandella.
