Re: Justify
And then I have this other friend, a UCLA grad that we go to quite a few Bruin football games together, he bets 100 on the opponent, figures either way he goes home in a good mood [/quote You should take a vacation once in a while instead of continually trolling other people's p...

Re: Justify

That's correct. Don't confuse me with your facts. My mind's made up. All that can happen is I'd be wrong. That reminds me of an old friend's betting strategy when sitting at the OTB.....I asked who he was playing this race and he said he was just making mind bets, not any real money......what's the...

Re: Justify

I'm totally cool with Audible not being entered in the Belmont. Stupid if the owners lost a $25M bonus by beating their own horse with their own horse. Audible wasn't a mortal lock to win the Belmont anyway looking at his predigree. I do like Justify's chances to win the Triple Crown a little more ...

Yeah, but they get the money all at once by selling.

Re: Justify

I understand why Coolmore would want to acquire the horse. Please explain to me why winstar would want to sell him? Are they trying to ditch him? Win-Star is more in the business of breeding and selling. They have a string of breeding stallions but when they can make a load of money off a horse, th...

50 years ago today I married this man - Bill. I waited a good long time before I decided with whom I wanted to spend the rest of my life. My instincts never let me down. :-)

Re: Justify

I'm no fan of 'pure, unadulterated greed,' but this industry needs a strong cash flow to keep operating. For a farm like Ashford to provide a good home for hundreds of broodmares, foals and stallions, some of those stallions need to earn their keep...in a big way. Justify will pay for a lot of bree...

Re: Justify

It was a typo Bal, I meant no way he races at 4. Aww - I should have realized that. Now it makes sense. They let AP race through his 3 year old year. I'm just getting sick to death with this money wrangling. It's no longer a matter of making a profit. It's pure, unadulterated greed, and the horse b...

Re: Justify

if they got Justify, no way he races at 3. Coolmore isn't afraid to run the horses they own the racing rights to for longer. Even if Mendy is a Scat Daddy, I feel like if they got their hands on Justify, it wouldn't necessarily be as much of an urgency for them to stand him. I'm confused, Treve. Th...

Re: Justify

It don't matter. Win-Star is looking to get as much money as they can beyond the $60 million already being bandied around, and Coolmore/Ashford will come up with the $$$'s. They breed the hell out of their horses. They'll recoup their investment in no time.
I'm probably going to have Bal throwing things at me, but....I don't think Justify is beautiful . Handsome, maybe, with a great body, but his head is not pretty, IMHO. I think it's the big blaze. I don't love a lot of white on a horse, and the way that wide blaze wobbles down ...

If he were human, he'd be the handsomest man that ever lived. The Clint Walker of horseflesh. (may he RIP) https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bzTwz2BBhQY&t=9s Good comparison. How I swooned over him in the TV series Cheyenne and then when he appeared in The Dirty Dozen. A handsome brute of a man http:...

Re: Justify

He looks scrumptious. I, too, would like to see him in Western tack with BB riding him in the Rose Bowl Parade. I know I'm being unfaithful to other chestnut equine loves of my life, but he is the handsomest of any that I have seen, Takes my breath away. A testimonial from an "old bittie" no longer ...
