Re: Honor Code ...

I've eaten a lot of Korean food and the meat is rarely smoked. I think Americans are mostly in love with smoked meat. I know I am.

I don't view Korea as the death sentence most people do. But it's not even September I think the rumors of Honor Codes demise are greatly exaggerated.

Re: Sadler's Well

Some of the reactions in this thread are maybe the strangest I've ever seen on this forum and that's saying something. Why do people automatically assume we eat race horses? It we do it probably tastes good so oh well.

I agree that burying anything is weird AF.

The second gate has literally paid for itself 50 times over in handle.

I can't see this ever happening

[Ah, thanks, Som. Yeah, in my experience, medical practice has become very regimented and protocol driven. Our docs also have new requirements on documenting conversations with patients. I can't see when even the good ones have the time or even the permission to actually think. The totally don't ha...

He's obviously got a thing for you I don't know why anyone would care this much. Either that or Stark is very jealous of insiders because he seems to have the most problems with people he knows or thinks are. I do believe in one of his deleted tyrants against me he was questioning my "skin in the ga...

Re: Travers 2019

There was a lot of vitriol towards Mott after the Derby, even though IIRC it was the jock that sent up the inquiry, not Mott. Totally. But I guess I always underestimate the hatred of sports fans and their inability to let things go. People overlook worse things all the time i.e. the entire state o...

There is a large part of me that really enjoys everyone running in the PA Derby and offending all the old institutions of racing.

I wonder if the fact that Tacitus has the same trainer as Country House has anything to do with the vitriol.
People love Mott, and they generally love Juddmonte.

Re: Travers 2019

I'm just really discouraged by the general attitude towards him (check out all the people calling him a pig on twitter). Shouldn't we be celebrating a horse who runs as well as Tacitus does, no matter the situation or race shape? If he'd won we'd all be talking about how impressive it was that he s...

Yikes, ElPrado2, so sorry to hear about your health issues. I sure hope your treatments aren't too awful and they have a successful outcome! Having some health challenges too. Complicated stomach surgery in June didn't go so well. And then my heart stopped. I had no prior heart disease or major ris...

Re: Travers 2019

In all seriousness though, if a track near you has Native American Relay Racing, go see it. That’s quite a spectacle. Terrific athletes. https://www.npr.org/2019/08/21/752820760/indian-relay-celebrates-history-and-culture-through-horse-racing Click on blue arrow upper left to hear story. There is s...

Re: The Runhappy

It's not just TVG. The Saratoga racing coverage on Fox was loaded with Runhappy ads and his name was emblazoned ( digitally ) all over the racetrack. Mattress Mack has taken 'supporting my stallion' to a whole new level.  I guess I don't see the problem. At least someone wants to pay ...

I was so tickled to see little Imperial Hint kick ass in the Vanderbilt, but WTH happened to Mitole? Was the pace so fast that he was burnt out in the stretch? :?
He hit the gate leaving it. Whether or not that's a valid reason who knows.

I know Max stayed up but, if I were a steward, I'd want to have a long conversation with Saez. That pinhead seems to think that cutting off his competition is the right way to win a race, no matter how reckless it is. Reckless is right. His ride in the Molly Pitcher Stakes was questionable a...

This entire sport looks more like a joke daily. What's worse? The whole debacle over post time or Monmouths refusal to do anything to insult the West family?
