Re: AirAsia flight carrying 155 people missing

If they don't find this plane, I am highly-concerned of the possibility that terrorists might be behind this. The scenario of stolen airplanes being used as weapons of destruction on US soil or against one of our few allies is a bit scary to fathom.

Johar has passed away at 15 years old from a paddock accident. He'll be buried next to his sire, Gone West.

Re: What is all this really about?

Baffert getting disqualified in California on a big race day AND at his home base track will never happen. If Bayern was O'Neill's horse, I can probably guarantee he would've been taken down. It is strange and coincidental that both of Shared Belief's last two races, it was a Baffert horse trying to...

What are the chances the track will dry out and be a little cuppy?
It rained for about 10 minutes over where I am at before the Juvenile started. Unsure if the rain will head toward Arcadia.

They shouldn't have sealed and rolled the track. It is playing like the ol' dragstrip again.

Re: Mocha Joe at Slate Hill Farm

Strange. He is listed to have had a Mares Bred Report from 2010 to 2012, nothing for 2013 and 2014. There isn't a 2013 on record with the Jockey Club. He has three foals from the 2012 crop, but nothing from the previous two years. Colts from Lively Lita and Pretty Quiet, and a filly from Girl of Mine.

Re: Zenyatta Stakes (G1)

Sorry, what in the heck are they doing to poor Wittgenstein? She hasn't run since a 7th in an allowance in May. She hasn't won a race since March of 2013. I looked at her works, and she's working average. Is there something we just don't know? You don't have to enter just for the sake of entering. ...

From what it sounds like in the article, Black Caviar is supposed to be bred to him today. Kind of quick since she had the foal about two weeks ago, no?

Re: Del Mar

My trainer said the turf course is like walking on a billiard table. You'd think there'd be more cushion to it than that. It doesn't help either that we are in a severe drought, very little to no rain in the last 3-4 years, reservoirs throughout the whole state are either below half capacity or bone...

My trainer once trained a gelding named Apache Wings, who was at least 18 hands tall. I think either Score Quick or Score Early stands at 18 hands and is at stud in California.

Re: Another service dog denial

I've heard way too many stories of people who fake service dogs, and these are often low-level employees who are told "no dogs" and would rather risk the law than their job. Definitely agree. I work in the veterinary industry, and the sheer number of clients I've encountered that want to travel int...
