Re: 2019 BC Classic

Good You can't paint a rosy picture and not talk about the bad parts of racing..we all love a thrilling dead heat but ignoring and not discussing breakdowns injuries and euthanasia adds to racings poor public image problem imo Actually we do have a choice, we can be optimistic or pessimistic, posit...

I took the DRF to show&tell in the 6th grade along with my dad's popular at the time slide-rule system. Teacher tried to figure it out, couldn't.

Send him out to California again, he'll never have one get past the authorities and make it to the starting gate.

Re: Accident Prevention

Thanks K The only thing I would add is for American bettors and your example of a horse bleeding three weeks ago and that being a red flag. If the trainer is Mandella or Brown or Clement or Motion or even Baffert for example I'd just have to ignore the Intel and figure they resolved the issue. Lesse...

Re: Accident Prevention

I would still appreciate hearing from an experienced gambler how they would use vet records in their handicapping process . In that vain, I've thought back over some recommendations I've received over the years.... There was a guy out of San Diego, Greg Lawler, who preached that success was in hand...

Re: Clever Names for horses

Aqueduct 9th race Sunday, ENOLA GAY won't be a bomber of a price but should win on Veteran's Day weekend. Note.....a re-use of the exact same name from back in the early 80's Enola Gay ran on the SoCal circuit and triggered one of my largest exacta wagers to date, and that was back in the days when ...

Could be misremembering but I think Christina Blacker’s Pop was up for the maiden breaker. Extra points if you can remember who the program trainer was that day.
What do I win if I guess Loren Rettele?

The first thing I thought of was Mary Lou Tuck and a really nice gray horse. Paid boxcars winning the DMR Futurity. Carry on......
Maiden breaker in the G2 event, without any doubt her best horse ever.

LOUISVILLE, Ky. – Dennis’ Moment left the Dale Romans stable at Churchill Downs early Thursday for WinStar Farm, where the star-crossed colt will get about 45 days off before being reunited with his trainer in Florida sometime next month. Romans said the Albaugh Family Stables colt was examined “rea...

Re: Accident Prevention

Thanks Curtis.....referring to the health records for the general public as TMI is a perfect description. And Katewerk, good idea that medical records get filed with the track management, can't see any harm in that. And now a question for the "best" handicapper on this board (you know who you are ba...

Just to clarify for those reading, the chart says Always a Queen was uninjured. ( http://www.equibase.com/premium/chartEmb.cfm?track=BEL&raceDate=10/05/2019&cy=USA&rn=4 ). It seems she wants nothing to do with being a racehorse. If true, then why enter her again after that race you provided the cha...
