Re: The BC Picks and Analysis Thread

Well I created a DRF account to play the DRF Win contest only to find out I am ineligible because I am not 21 (I'm 20). So at 18 you're a legal adult, can consent, can vote, and can join the military, but I can't win a sweepstakes or similar contest until I'm 21? Ok . Just so you know, it's not DRF...

Re: The BC Picks and Analysis Thread

I can't count how much money I've saved over the years by just drawing a line through the AOB horses. Never seem to be fair value here for all he's up against shipping to a faraway land like California.

Maybe I'll be kicking myself this year, but so far so good.

Suedois has been scratched.
Marcus Hersh
‏@DRFHersh

Suedois is out of the @BreedersCup Mile per @omeararacing. Foot infection “nothing serious” per DOM. Caribou Club is the first AE but isn’t at SA. Next Shares draws in.

Re: Breeders Cup Discussion?

Gamblers did not shy away one bit, in fact they set an all-time Friday record handle with $56 million dollars, some $3 million more than last year.

Re: Breeders Cup Discussion?

For fans of SoCal morning radio, a few notes from Jonathan Hardoon of the Ragozin Sheets.... 4. F&M Sprint. #6 Bellafina . None of the favorites seem worthy of the short price. 5. Turf Sprint #4 Shekky Shebaz , best longshot on the day. 6. Dirt Mile #5&1 Omaha Beach and Giant Expectations 7. F&M Tur...

Re: 2019 BC Juvenile

Totally agree about the poor last work. Strange how Bob seemed to be in denial about it-repeatedly saying what a great work it was and how well the horse was doing. Someone on broadcast even said they had gotten a text from Bob saying the horse was going to run really well. I wonder what his post-r...

Stark, did the source from which you copied the field actually have Aidan O'Brien listed as the trainer of Dennis’ Moment? :?
Yep, I blame John Cherwa. A couple of odds were typos as well.

Re: Tragedy hits Santa Anita again

Well stark, sorry to disappoint, but even at our canteen at the racetrack (for people that worked there) we sometimes discussed things like this, when a bunch of trainers and vets shared the table. :D Guess what? You don't have to sit on our table if you don't want to talk about it, feel free to ch...

Re: Tragedy hits Santa Anita again

I've long thought that forums like this are a modern day Cheers neighborhood bar where folks meet after a days work or playing the ponies to solve the worlds problems as well as the more personal stuff. So, with that in mind, think about that bar just a couple of blocks from the track, every neighbo...

I be thankful that we're at Santa Anita today.
Aqueduct is muddy and off the turf.
Don't know about Churchill yet, but they were off the turf the last couple of days.

Re: 2019 BC Turf

What confuses me the most is the terminology and the different ways/types of betting, like pick fours and so on. There is P5 beginning with race 1 (that would take you through races 1-5). I think these are generally the most fun to play because they get you involved in multiple races should you be ...

Re: 2019 BC Sprint

A couple of me handicapping rules come into play here. 1) It's okay if you can't project improvement for some horse, just hope your horse can merely repeat their best effort to date. 2) When in doubt, rather than conjure up images of a closer in a race that could collapse, just bet the speed of the ...
