Jimmy Toner

Guy who bought my voice mimicking software from me in 2006 is buying horses at the Fasig Tipton May sale after the Preakness weekend and intends to give them to Jimmy Toner to train. He said he may let a few of us buy a small percentage of each. I am not sure giving horses to a guy because his horse...

Re: No Whip Friday @ Santa Anita

Back to the original question: Anybody here in favor of this experiment? Yes. The jockeys chose to participate in this day-long experiment in order to acquire real data to give the CA racing officials. I'm under the impression that they aren't in love with the idea of no whips at all but, for them ...

Re: No Whip Friday @ Santa Anita

Horses aren't meant to be standing in stalls 22 hours a day and probably weren't designed specifically to be ridden but alas, here we are. A jockey already has lost most riding aids with the short stirrups, etc. I'm not sure if mass chaos is going to ensue but it could be generous. Although the ide...

Re: PDJF Telethon

Well I always thought money to Thoroughbred Charities helped jockeys. Apparently it doesn't. I gave a few dollars but will put them in my year end giving. It is a very dangerous job and the jockeys should be taken care of.

Re: No Whip Friday @ Santa Anita

I just hope all the horses and jockeys come home safe. Not allowing jockeys to carry a whip is a dangerous situation. No. It really isn't. In facts whips and blinkers should just be banned. Horses are not supposed to be whipped and sure aren't supposed to have blinkers on them. Get rid of lasix whi...

Does personal ethics and integrity have no role in your world, stark? Sometimes there's not much difference between "resigning" and "being fired." Jay's just lucky he works for DRF and not Bloodhorse. Jay Privman @DRFPrivman 25m25 minutes ago Since an unseemly situation happened with another report...

Re: Streaming Video of Races

Doesn't your ADW provide video? Yes. They both do. I am not the issue. I have a friend who is new to sport and asked where he could watch the big races this weekend online. He said only Keeneland allowed him to just click a watch live button. Exactly what is the point of Santa Anita and Aqueduct ma...

Streaming Video of Races

Why is it only Keeneland and Gulfstream stream their races without requiring people to register or jump through hoops to see races. There is ZERO reason why tracks in NY and KY and many other states need to make it so difficult for new fans or gamblers to watch live races. Do the idiots at Churchill...

Re: I Am Horse Racing

One of the same people that started the similarly frivolous social media campaign a few years ago with images of people kissing/hugging horses. This is when it really shows that so many racing people got their jobs from who they know, not what they know. Damage control is best done by professionals...

Re: 2019 Three-Year-Olds

Some nice things in light of all of the heaviness going on right now: Bullet is potentially headed to Ascot after a nice win in the Palisades Turf Sprint today. I just love watching this horse race, he seems to be having a blast every step of the way. Look at those ears! https://www.youtube.com/wat...

Signalman should run a good one with the race under his belt off the layoff.

Maybe yes maybe not, but his last comments there were pretty spot on. I mean, I went looking for the last time you had anything nice to say about somebody else's analysis, still looking. And I'm trying to remember the last time you offered any analysis on anything. Doesn't it get boring, just needl...

Re: Dubai Beyer Figures

Patience is a virtue. I can't find them either. Call Beyer and complain. I was just curious if they just stopped making them for Dubai. I like the UAE Derby winner. Wanted to see how he stacked up with the figures of the FL Derby and LA Derby which are both rather strong figures. Quite a weekend fo...

Re: WANTED----Solutions Only

I'm sure the tracks, drf, and equibase want to give away their biggest money making product. Give people bare bones info and charge them for better. It's a hard sell to ask people to buy this info when you get more in depth stats on every other sports for free. You buy one fantasy magazine a year a...

I think if I'm recalling correctly Blame has only been following racing for a few years. I'm sorry if that isn't the case. If that is indeed the case it would make sense why he isn't as bitter and cynical as the rest of us and still has faith in this horse being the favorite. It doesn't really matt...

Re: WANTED----Solutions Only

Somebody has to pay to collect, store and disseminate the information. If not the end user, then who should pick up the tab? The racetracks. They are already taking 20 cents of every dollar I bet. With sports betting they only take 10 percent if I lose. Why should I bet horses if it costs me money ...

Re: The Florida Derby

Maximum Security is obviously the most intriguing horse. He could be the Kentucky Derby favorite after this weekend. Like Bourbon War though and think Code of Honor will set himself up nicely for 10f at Churchill Downs. Maximum Security looks like the Derby Favorite unless Omaha Beach or one of the...
