Re: 2019 Preakness Stakes

I agree yes it’s a shame if the horse is on the verge of a cold that keeps him out of the race but ita a good thing Mott is looking after him.

Re: Across the pond

Just curious, comparing our Derby with big races around the world. Full fields like the Arc or Melbourne, wherever, what happens when there's bumping at a critical point in the race? Are there unwritten let 'em run rules that everybody understands? Any famous DQ's? I’d venture there’s a lot less bu...

Beyer numbers are bonkers.

I had Liora and Lady Apple in the right order yesterday... but I was wrong on the winner. Which is the story of my life.
Do you play matchups?

Re: 2019 Preakness Stakes

Wasn’t Songbird pulled out of the Oaks because her Antibiotics course might not be done by then even though she stayed in training?

But yes that’s why I don’t place future wagers, I still think of how disappointed I was with Casino Drive’s morning scratch of the Belmont.

Re: 2019 Preakness Stakes

Gary west has reiterated that Maximum Security won’t run in the Preakness. ........because there's no Triple Crown on the line! What if......he were to win whatever this legal action is he's taking and be declared the Derby winner? I honestly don’t care much what he does, I was just sharing the new...

Re: Ignoring someone

Ok, I have managed to put one goof on my ignore list. I still have one that the forum refuses to put on my ignore list. How do I get rid of Blame? I have tried the same procedure used with other goof. Did not work. Any ideas as to why? Same, it's like the profile was deleted but is still showing in...

Under your name, go to user control panel and from there the friends and foes tab.
Ah thanks I saw the foe thing but wasn't sure what it would do so I didn't want to click the button lmao

Re: Positive Outcomes From The Derby

Rules for DQs might get more National exposure, with each state falling in line and consistent enforcement from sea to shining sea. Camera coverage, the placement of cameras around the race track have been in place since the war. It's about time to update it for the stewards benefit. We've all seen...

Re: Horse Racing is now officially a joke

people keep talking about what catastrophe could have occurred if horses went down in the final turn yesterday and how racing dodged a bullet. well hello, this happens every year (almost) in the first turn of the Derby's - and yes, bad stuff could really happen there too - so what is the difference...

Re: Horse Racing is now officially a joke

Yeah, tell that to Belmont Park when Maximum Security wins the Preakness and 30,000 people show up for the Belmont Stakes instead of 100,000. This decision will cost the NYRA millions. Maybe it wasn't such a bad decision after all. Luckily, Maximum Security's connections are thinking of skipp...

Re: 2019 Triple Crown

Casse has already said that War of Will would run in the Preakness, but I suppose we'll see how he came out of this race. He has the right to be pretty bodysore after that. I mean he ran Classic Empire even though CE came out of the race with one eye swollen shut, had multiple cuts and was still ri...

Re: Stallion News

Melbourne Cup winner Dunaden has died following a 'paddock accident.' https://www.paulickreport.com/news/bloodstock/melbourne-cup-winner-dunaden-dies-at-13/ So sad. A pretty big blow for the last few strands of the Byerley Turk sireline. Here's to hoping he's got a good son or two out of those 4 an...

Re: Kentucky Derby : Do you agree with the stewards decision?

The thing is, it doesn't matter if Country House was directly impacted. If Maximum Security impeded any of the other horses he had to be DQ'd, and the rest of the horses moved up in placing. then should we not have inquiries every year, since the start is chaos and we've seen loads of horses impact...

Re: Kentucky Derby : Do you agree with the stewards decision?

The hottest takes of the day have to be someone saying "racing is dead" because of this and saying they shouldn't have done it because "a bum will be the winner." Similar scalding "takes" are the folks around here that are jumping ship because them rich people "robbed" them. Well, I wish people wou...

Re: Horse Racing is now officially a joke

I'm going to go against the grain here and say this decision is actually refreshing and my interest in racing took a hit after last year's Belmont to be perfectly honest. In spite of that I stuck around, even went down to see the Travers in person and got to spend a wonderful day at the races and ha...

Re: Horse Racing is now officially a joke

Ehhhh IDK. It won't be a joke. High drama = high intrigue = all good. The public's, and my, memory is bad. Does anyone even remember Jordyn Woods is a person (I do.. I want the eye-shadow palette to go on sale)?. Does anyone remember my father being the only person alive to wear Champion -- and now...
