Re: Keenland November

Awesome Maria sold in foal to Giant's Causeway for $4,000,000 sold to Coolmore Oh wow. My guess of Mandy Pope or Japanese interests was totally off. Coolmore doesn't seem to buy too many broodmares (maybe they do, and I just don't pay attention), but I guess Awesome Maria is a pretty outstanding pr...

Re: After the B.C.

Declaration of War retires to stand stud in Ireland. I would love to see him run for a year in the US on dirt, but I suppose he has plenty of appeal as it is.

Re: Keenland November

Awesome Maria sold in foal to Giant's Causeway for $4,000,000 So is she going to Mandy Pope or Japan? A sale price like that seems to mean one or the other. Whoever gets her sure is lucky. Snow Fall sold for $735,000 to Don Alberto Corp from Chile, which recently bought Vinery's Kentucky farm. Bode...

Just saw this on FB- thought of you https://scontent-b.xx.fbcdn.net/hphotos-frc3/s403x403/1383458_313049898835207_1844913939_n.jpg Cute! Took him to the in-laws' in IL (7 hours by car one way). He was pretty timid, but he enjoyed hiding under the dining room table and chairs when he needed a ...

Biancone better put Diamond Bachelor back on turf. Eesh.

Nice to see Justwhistledixie's foal win, though.

Re: The VENT Thread

Sometimes, I think those pee pads are a bad idea. It's almost like it encourages them to use that particular spot- instead of going outside like they should. Some are scented to attract them. I had a friend of mine who trained her small dog to use a cat box- no lie. From what I have been told, this...

Re: The VENT Thread

I hope the guy on the other side of the cubicle wall from me gets stress fractures in his fingers from jackhammering his keyboard all day by typing so hard that it sounds like he's tap dancing. On my nerves. Ughhh that drives me nuts. Some keyboards are louder than others, though. In law school, we...

Re: Something different to argue about...

Considering all the smack talk he gets, Pletcher's last drug violation/suspension was in 2004. He's had two lasix overages but those were just warnings. All his other violations are paperwork lol. I think that's inaccurate. "The California Horse Racing Board fined trainer Todd Pletcher $25,000 and ...

Re: The VENT Thread

From what I understand, there may be some correlation between early neutering and some types of cancer and joint problems. But correlation is not causation. I googled "when to neuter a puppy," which is arguably a more neutral search string than "neutering your dog too early," which will lead to sit...

Re: The VENT Thread

Perhaps small breeds may be an exception to early neutering, but up to date vet info suggests waiting longer. Just GOOGLE "neutering your dog too early." It's not always a good idea. From what I understand, there may be some correlation between early neutering and some types of cancer and joint pro...

Re: The VENT Thread

Yeah, he had some of his puppy shots, although I'm a little fuzzy on which ones, except I know he had all 4 DHLPPC shots (he's about 18 weeks now). He had them before we adopted him - he's been with us for a week and a half now. He goes to get neutered on Monday and they'll do his microchipping and...

Re: The VENT Thread

Sounds like he is doing ok- they can pick up all kinds of things- it's like having an instant 2 year old human baby. They explore EVERYTHING with their mouths since they don't have hands. From reading your posts, I guess he had some of his shots right before you picked him up? Sometimes, they can h...

Woke up at 5:30am to puppy throwing up in his kennel. Thankfully he threw up on the plastic tray on the bottom and not his favorite blanket. Easy to clean up, thanks puppy. He ate half his breakfast. Poor puppy has diarrhea, too. He's been playing a little and sleeping a lot - which is kind of what...

Thanks for starting this thread! I still get notifications for all War Front offspring, but because I have a new writing job, I don't have much time to update here. For now, here are the War Fronts preentered into the various Breeders Cup races: - Bashart (Juvenile Turf) - Diamond Bachelor (Juvenile...

Not surprising, considering he's danced every dance this year. He has excellent bloodlines.

Re: 2013 Report of Mares Bred

How many stallions have their books limited? I believe War Front does, which is why he only saw 105 and his son, The Factor, saw 135 (I'm sure stud fees made The Factor a cheaper alternative to his sire as well). 184 for Kitten's Joy... we're going to run out of Kitten names. Then again, co...

I was so sorry to hear this. He was such a lovely horse and a decent stallion prospect.
