Re: 2019 Preakness Stakes

Kudos to Bill Mott for putting his horse first. I'd rather a trainer care about his horse's health than run them when they are not at 100%. I swear that every time I read twitter comments I wonder if they really only care about the horse's safety/health right after they die. Bill Mott is one of the...

Re: Kentucky Derby : Do you agree with the stewards decision?

I guess you would have to ask the stewards why the Derby has so many different standards. you know, like for every other year during the running of this race, we just look the other way when questionable stuff is happening out there on the track.... except for the 2019 running. talk about different...

Forestry is 23, so probably he has been pensioned. But yeah, I don't know where he's pensioned.

Re: TV Discussion Thread

The writing is so bad lol. It's horrific. If it wasn't so close to the end I'd stop watching. It's the greatest story no one wanted to finish properly -- the author or the HBO writers. So true. Dammit, I like how Lost ended. I hated the middle seasons of the show but I thought the last season was f...

Re: 2019 Preakness Stakes

I am hoping War of Will comes out of this just fine and they run him here. I never gave up on him and think he's in good form right now. I will likely be watching from my phone. Why are people born and why do they then have events during the TC series?  Well, they ruled out Maximum Secur...

Re: Kentucky Derby : Do you agree with the stewards decision?

How he feels about it is not the point. The horse impeded several others. How should those owners and connections feel? You're not entitled to anything just because you put money into it. This. My dad keeps texting me about how so much money was lost etc etc and well, ya know, nothing is guaranteed...

Nice win by Serengeti Empress! And yay for Liora to get up for second!

Glad Positive Spirit seems to be okay. And Bellafina proved again that she's just not a fan of Churchill.

Re: 2019 Kentucky Oaks

Jerry Bailey just said that Street Band's jockey is Sophie Turner. It's a big week for Sophie - big Game of Thrones episode and then she got married to one of those Jonas boys and now she's a jockey despite being quite tall.

Of course, he MEANT Sophie Doyle, actual jockey.

Re: 2019 Kentucky Oaks

I love that photo of Jaywalk walking the shedrow with her equine nebulizer. My kid used a nebulizer (and still does, when really sick) for his asthma. So I guess I'm rooting for her. I'm also rooting for Chocolate Kisses and Liora because of their female families. Chocolate Kisses is out of Brownie ...

Re: TV Discussion Thread

I've been more a fan of Arya since she came back to Westeros. I didn't much care for her storyline overseas, although I suppose it made her a stone cold killer. But Gendry likes her and I like Gendry and he seems to have survived, so I guess she's alright. Sansa bugged me in the first season but she...

Then don't read the vent thread. And don't, for God's sake, give your friendly neighborhood hospital an excuse to give you a contrast screen CT scan. 90 % of humans get hives and attempt to look like an Irish Setter. We proved I'm human. Nuff said. The tech in the scanner room was patting me on sho...

But does anyone else watch Jane the Virgin? Because the episode this week brought back the love triangle and I have feelings about this show again.

Re: Stallion News

I presume Coolmore already knows that there is sufficient interest in him to 'justify' shipping a TC winner all the way to the Southern Hemisphere. He just doesn't seem like the physical type - tall, burly, dirt horse with iffy feet - for the grass racing there. Maybe if he were a sprinter like Car...
