Do you guys think this DQ stands if a bigger named trainer trained Maximum Security?

I support this DQ but am wondering anyway.
i'd be hard pressed to imagine baffert being DQ'd. i like to think he would, but i also like to think i'll win the lottery and that hasn't worked out so far.

Re: Horse Racing is now officially a joke

luvsgeldings, i think you nailed why there's outrage even if the angry ppl don't realise that's why they're mad (like i was). was this a foul worthy of a DQ? absolutely. have we seen as bad, or worse, in this same race no less, and have it go down as nothing more than a minor chart note? absolutely ...

Re: 'Categories' of Stewards Rules, TIF Discussion

i'd stab someone if it gave us less foggy sounding rules. there's a thread going here about "unwritten rules" - the fact that anyone could even think those are a thing means the rules aren't clear enough/enforced properly. or maybe they are enforced properly, hard to tell sometimes since bayern was ...

Re: Kentucky Derby : Do you agree with the stewards decision?

yeah, in hindsight, hearing him start defending his horse immediately after the race was pretty sus. he knew he was in big trouble, i think. i don't like defending this, but it takes an idiot to not agree now that all the slow mos and close ups are out. lol @ "since when are lanes a thing??" i need ...

Re: Kentucky Derby : Do you agree with the stewards decision?

My initial reaction was no; he was much the best. But the more I watched the replays, it became harder and harder to ignore the several horses he bothered at such a critical junction of the race. one of the stills posted in the derby thread does show his back hooves between i think WoW's front hoov...

Re: 2019 Kentucky Derby

it's ended my enjoyment. last year's TC was all tin foil hats, this year opened up with nearly 2 dozen dead horses that santa anita wasn't real sharp about handling, the sales vet records being questioned (more than usual and some ugly allegations coming out), now this? horse racing is supposed to ...

Re: Kentucky Derby : Do you agree with the stewards decision?

The thing is, it doesn't matter if Country House was directly impacted. If Maximum Security impeded any of the other horses he had to be DQ'd, and the rest of the horses moved up in placing. then should we not have inquiries every year, since the start is chaos and we've seen loads of horses impact...

Re: 2019 Kentucky Derby

isn't there usually a bumper cars game coming out of the gate/heading to the turn, every derby? is that analysed as well? (real question, no sarcasm)

do something about it if you're so angry and morally above this. posting on a message board doesn't count as "doing something", by the way.

i'd never heard of him until now, that's insane. not sure how you can forget an entire horse (though i guess some callous ppl wouldn't be against leaving a horse that didn't sell that they don't want)

mare left at sales

saw a post on instagram abt a mare who was left behind at the 1965 Tattersalls december sale, at Park Paddocks. the note only said they couldn't identify her since DNA testing wasn't a thing yet (obviously), but offered no other info. has anyone else heard about this? anyone know more? i tried googl...

Re: No Whip Friday @ Santa Anita

i always saw whips as a safety thing first, a turbo switch second. i'm not a pro rider, but have heard many say that when a horse, who overpowers you by a lot, decides they don't want to cooperate, having a crop can be a gift from heaven when used correctly . not beating the tar out of them, but mor...

Did Cathedral Reader survive? Pedigree Query lists her as RIP but not sure if that was accurate.
